As the centre piece of Drimsynie Estate, this impressive hotel overlooks its own 9-hole golf course, plus Loch Goil and the Argyllshire mountains. In my view, with Drimsynie, Lochgoilhead is the best wee village in the World (I live in Greece, which has some cracking wee villages, and I have travelled a fair bit)! Drimsynie is an excellent place to go to for a long weekend or a longer holiday, with or without kids. Adults and kids of all ages will love it! There is so much to do and the staff are always willing to help! The surrounding scenery is breathtaking and whether you are golfing, walking, or sailing, you cannot help but be taking in by the majestic scene that is Lochgoil / Lochgoilhead, and the surrounding hills. As a holiday destination, Drimsynie is an ideal place for both active and relaxing holidays! We stayed in the hotel this time but I have also stayed in one of the lodges, and I would recommend both! This is a gem of a hotel and holiday destination!!

Set in Arrochar, Loch Long Hotel is located at the head of Loch Long. It features an on-site bar and restaurant. Staff helped greatly during severe climatic conditions ( flooding )

The Tarbet Hotel er til húsa í sögulegri byggingu í barokkstíl og er staðsett á hinum fræga áfangastað Loch Lomond. Room freshand clean. Had a lovely meal too.

Lochwood Guest House í Lochgoilhead býður upp á útsýni yfir vatnið, gistirými, garð og sameiginlega setustofu. Don & Lorraine were wonderful hosts! Not only did they provide us with everything needed to make our stay comfortable, including delicious breakfasts, Don guided us to hiking trails just across the street from the B&B which were fun. They also loaned us hiking poles and provided bug spray for the newly hatching midges. We visited Benmore Gardens at their suggestion, and spent a whole afternoon there, one of the four best gardens in all of Scotland. It was such a great way to spend our limited time in Lochgoil. Don and Lorraine have done a magnificent job restoring this house and grounds. We only wished we could have stayed longer!

The room itself and the sitting / breakfast room were very beautifully decorated so that you immediately felt the Scottish heritage. The breakfast that Jay prepares is outstanding. A variety of cereals, fresh fruit, eggs, sausages, different kinds of home baked bread, tea, coffee, fruit juice - everything was there. Not to mention that everything was exceptionally clean and that Jay is just a very lovely host. If you want to, you can even hire kayaks as well... Perfect for a few days off to really feel the Highlands!

The Shore House býður upp á gistingu í Lochgoilhead, 44 km frá Oban. Ókeypis WiFi er til staðar. Gestir geta notið einkabar staðarins og kvöldverðar (gegn beiðni) í borðkróknum. We were made to feel very welcome, the guesthouse was really lovely, our room was clean and comfortable and the breakfasts were amazing. A lovely relaxing stay, we particularly enjoyed some drinks in the sunshine in the beer garden which looked over the loch.
