Are stay was incredibly lovely. The staff were very kind and helpful. They printed out the bus timetable for us, accommodated all our requests and created a warm atmosphere. The food was very good. Breakfast was a buffet including croissants, toast, eggs, local cheeses and yogurt, fruit, coffee, tea. A lot of local products. Dinner was also delicious. It generally consisted of two dishes and one night we had fish and the other meat. We had vegetarians and vegans in our group and they accommodated their needs. We were super happy with our stay and highly recommend. The jacuzzi outside is beautiful and we enjoyed bathing in it while watching it snow.

The room is simple but very comfortable with an amazing view. Restaurant always full :) it amazes me that they have fresh vegetables from their own garden. Those people work so hard but love what they do.

It is in a beautiful, quiet location yet only minutes from the village with a good choice of restaurants and lovely atmosphere. The hotel was spotless and the family were very welcoming and helpful yet discreet. The rooms were generous sizes and there was a really lovely selection of fresh local breads, pastries and fruit at breakfast. We had a really lovely stay and would love to return.

Hotel Du Commerce is located in the centre of Thones, close to the resort of Les Aravis and 12 km from the ski slopes. It offers free Wi-Fi access. Nice, friendly hotel right in the centre of Thones, less than 30 minutes away from Lake Annecy. Our family room was nice and spacious. Bathroom a bit dated but very clean. We didn't try the buffet breakfast (10 euro pp) as there was a little boulangerie across the road that served French coffee and a pastry for 2.50 - check it out if you have the time. The hotel mentions free parking - the parking is actually a public parking in the street behind the hotel (Rue de la Tournette) and the hotel is accessible via a covered walkway. We went in August and found a parking space but it is not possible to reserve it. The hotel is right in the centre of Thones, close to lots of restaurants/church/market (on a Saturday). Thones itself is a very pretty village.
