Very welcoming team. One huge added advantage is the adjoining restaurant ‘Manger sur la Plage’ which is also very special. The whole visit was an absolute treat.

Chateau du Champdolent was a charming, charming place in the middle of French farmlands with a super kind host. This was one of our favorite places we stayed at in France. The building itself has an incredible history dating back to the 15th century with links to the royal family. Dominique’s meticulous restoration has saved all of the old beauty while making the space modern and comfortable. Our room was very spacious and the bathroom huge with an extra-long bathtub. The breakfast was very delicious and beautifully presented. It was definitely the best breakfast of our entire trip! Free and spacious parking was very welcome. After the hustle and bustle of the cities, Champdolent was a wonderful way to decompress and take in the quiet and beautiful countryside. We highly recommend this Chateau!

The team of the hotel was always forthcoming and approachable and made the stay exceptional and really recommendable!

Boutique Hôtel d'Orbigny Chatelaillon - La Rochelle features an outdoor pool and is 200 metres from the city centre and 50 metres from Châtelaillon Beach. The room was comfortable and clean. Wifi was good, and the hotel was just one street away from the beach. The hotel also provided beach towels if requested. Really good value for the price. The hotel is run by a family and they are extremely kind and helpful.
