Attractively situated in the Kallio district of Helsinki, Citybox Helsinki is situated 1.4 km from Helsinki Cathedral, 1.6 km from Helsinki Central Station and 1.8 km from Helsinki Olympic Stadium. I stayed here as it was close to the start of Tokoinranta parkrun, couldn't have picked a better location. It was perfect.

Bob W absolutely exceeded my expectations. Not only was the communication super fast and friendly, the entire hotel felt so welcoming. You really feel that they sincerely care that you have a lovely stay, every small item is thought through, from free organic snacks both in the room and in the kitchen, full complimentary laundry facilities, etc. Items like coffee mugs and the snacks in the room are from local designers and producers and very high quality. I have stayed with Bow W both in Helsinki and Tallinn and both locations have artwork and design items from small local designers. This is one of the few hotels where you can tell that the owners of the hotel really like to travel as well because they know these small things that make the stay extra comfortable.

The Folks Hotel Konepaja features a fitness centre, shared lounge, a terrace and restaurant in Helsinki. The hotel was close to public transportation, so it was easy to get around. The room was comfortable, very clean, and huge, especially for a solo traveler (or at least compared to what I'm used to in Japan). I ate breakfast at the hotel's restaurant on the first morning I arrived because it was before other shops in the area opened. The breakfast buffet was delicious and fresh. The staff were the best part by far, though. 10s across the board. Everyone I interacted with was incredibly friendly and helpful but one staff in particular went above and beyond to help me (gave perfect directions, helped me download the transport app and tickets, googled things for me, etc.). Would definitely recommend to others or consider staying here again in the future.

Upon arrival, I was pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a room equipped with a sauna!

Reachable within 10-minutes from Helsinki Airport via train or bus, this Clarion hotel features a sauna, fitness centre and a relaxing lounge. Property 15min walk from airport. Outside Aviapolis train station. Decent spread at the breakfast. Most importantly all the staff was amazingly helpful and friendly. Rooms spacious and comfy.

Housed in a converted prison from 1837, this atmospheric hotel is found on Katajanokka Island in central Helsinki. The location was very good, very tastefully done hotel, a new experience to be staying in what was once a prison, breakfast was great.... and the rooms super comfortable The staff were exceptional in their service and the staff on duty accommodated us at breakfast though we went down past the breakfast time
