Mama Tungu is a former rainforest hotel converted into a hostel, so basically you can experience a luxurious stay for hostel prices! First of all the location is incredible, it's not in Baños, you need to pay ~$3 for a taxi to take you to Ulba and then up the hill, or 50 cents to Ulba then walk 10min up. With that said the hostel is perched half way up a hill surrounded by 3 spectacular waterfalls (where you could do canyoning/abseiling as a 2h activity). The view and the ambience is so serene I wish I could have stayed for a month as a retreat! Secondly the amenities are super special, which other hostel has a full length pool and a steaming hot jacuzzi? As well as a beautiful social area with a super nice movies corner, fully equipped with Netflix, Amazon Primevideo and Disney+! There is also a nice bar, and a fully equipped kitchen. Finally the group of Argentinians operating the place are just starting up, building something wonderful. Full kudos and support to them. Hope everyone can enjoy the special beauty of Mama Tungu and relax for a few days in this stunning environment!

The staff were so helpful and very pleasant. Nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is set in beautiful gardens overlooking mountains with rabbits, ducks and chickens running freely. We also had complimentary use of the Turkish bath and sauna. The hotel is on the outskirts of town, about 15 minutes walk to the centre. The room was spotlessly clean and quiet with excellent security. We even extended our stay!!

You get a free breakfast voucher for the nearby cafe with was so good! It does get busy in the morning, so arrive at early to get a seat at the cafe! I loved the location, close to the center and all of the bars, restaurants and shops were nearby. Love the room, the shower, the balcony and the shared kitchen and balcony. The staff was also very helpful and lovely! Felt very safe in this hotel.

Offering a restaurant, La Posada del Arte is located in Baños, just 900 metres from the town’s main transport terminal. It boasts an on-site tour desk and a shared terrace with hammocks. Stylish and comfy rooms, clean and specious enough. Some have nice view to waterfalls and balcony. Nice garden for perfect evening gatherings. Friendly english speaking owners. Fantastic breakfast (rancheros is my favorite). One of the best place in Ecuador during one month traveling.

Only 4 blocks away from Baños's Palomino Flores central park, Hotel y Spa Isla de Baños offers romos with free Wi-Fi and cable TV. It features spa facilities and it is surrounded by a tropical garden.... Everything about Isla de Banos is perfect. It combines old world charm with modern efficiency. The staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. I can't recommend this hotel highly enough!
