We stayed 4 nights at Takuma and we really loved it! Beautiful construction, thoughtful decor and garden, awesome pool, quiet and relaxing ambiance... The perfect vacation package! The breakfast was great, the owners and entire staff was nice and welcoming, special kudos to the cleaning staff as they did a great job keeping our room pristine even though there were 4 of us! The location is close to all the restaurants, stores and the beach, which we enjoyed a lot. Bravo 👏

The most important thing was the peace and privacy that I felt during my whole stay. The property (and each bungalow in particular) was well equipped with everything I needed on a beach trip. Located in Las Terrenas, this hotel features an outdoor pool and luxurious suites and apartments with kitchen facilities. El Catey de Samana International Airport is a 40 minute drive away. Breakfast was one of the best I’ve been served with an extremely generous time span of 7:30-11:30 so we didn’t need to worry about missing it if you wanted to sleep in. The apartment was huge and had everything you need with an amazing pool area literally steps from your room and the beach a few steps further. We were worried to hear loud music from cars and scooters on the balcony and in the living room but the bedrooms were so soundproof we had amazing sleeps. The staff is the best. They can arrange pickup and tours and whatever you need. They even text me that a massage day was available and could be in the private gazebo by the pool or your room if you preferred. What a treat! I don’t understand any of the negative reviews because this place was beyond our expectations.

An amazing little find in El Valle - perfect relaxing location where we were made to feel right at home. The hosts and owners were extremely accommodating, giving us tips about where to explore and organising excursions if we wished. The food is excellent - lots of options at breakfast, including fresh fruit, avocado, eggs and french toast. Dinner is a three course meal and they take dietary requirements into consideration. The walk to the beach is about 10 mins and is one of the best beaches we have been to so far. Would highly recommend staying here, especially as they plan to continue to upgrade and expand!

Samana peninsula is absolutely beautiful and this hotel is on a magnificent beach. The atmosphere is tranquil, and sea swimming is beautiful. The pools are wonderful too. Nice staff, especially Nikolas at reception who was very helpful Recommend going to El Limon to hike to the waterfall.

This was a last minute booking as our flight from Samana was cancelled and rebooked for the next day. We only dealt with one staff member really, while we were checking in. She was absolutely amazing! We were obviously stressed and tired from our day and she made the check-in process seamless. She also go everything set for our check-out the next morning as we were leaving at 6:00am. We has an issue with the AC in our room, we couldn't get it to work. She came over and after also not being able to get it to work she offered to move us to another room and helped us with our baggage. This all seems like basic things, but after the day we had we really appreciated it. Overall we love the warm welcoming vibe of the resort! I would love to go back and checkout the resort and area more.

I would like to share my experience at Hacienda Cocuyo, which was truly amazing. The peaceful and serene ambiance, combined with the breathtaking natural surroundings, made it an unforgettable stay. The rooms were fantastic and comfortable, and the fresh mountain air and sea breeze were invigorating. The restaurant had a varied menu, offering both local and international basic dishes, although if you are looking for extensive local cuisine and more variety, it's just a 10-minute drive away. The locally-made breakfast was delicious and a perfect way to start the day, while evenings spent by the campfire near the pool with a cocktail, wine, or local beer were magical. The staff at Hacienda were incredibly service-minded and helpful, making the whole experience even more special. I also appreciated the ECO-friendly approach of the place, with no lifts, no TV or AC in the room, pure back to basics and one with nature! Overall, I would highly recommend Hacienda Cocuyo to anyone looking for a peaceful, relaxing, and memorable vacation.

The whole experience of our stay at the Tree House has been amazing. Of course, the first night was a bit scary as we didn't know what to expect when being in the jungle: bats, frogs, lizards 🦎 We stayed for 4 nights and it was great after all! We loved going to yoga in the morning, the home made food, all the games available in the lobby, the sense of community and all the evening entertainment from karaoke to dancing and the bonfire :) Honestly, we would very very much recommend this experience, just being in nature with no internet, listening to the sound of birds or the calm after the rain. The room was comfy, and we had a really nice view, of course bear in mind you are in the jungle, so don't expect hot showers. Other than that it's been great.
