DESIGN SUITES Boutique Hotel - Adults Only features an outdoor swimming pool, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Santa Maria. I visited Santa Maria and stayed at 7 different, equivalent hotels during the week. Design Suites is the best hotel. The staff is helpful and very nice. I had tv problems and the manager organized help immediately and solved the problem. The cleaning is very good. Overall, the maintenance of the hotel is good. During the week there were several power outages on the island. In this hotel, the business has worked without problems. This indicates a good organization and committed staff. I will gladly come back to the "best hotel" on the island.

Great cleaning service on a daily basis. Delicious breakfast with various choices. Super friendly staff and very helpful support by Dory for clarifying important details beforehand and organizing individual activities and transfers. Great location, 2 min walk from the most beautiful beach on Sal. Would highly recommend for an individual stay on Sal, instead of resort holidays.

Hotel Da Luz has an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a shared lounge and terrace in Santa Maria. This 3-star hotel offers a bar. Everything was amazing! From the staff, facilities, and comfort. The staff was very attentive and helpful with anything that we needed. Breakfast was good with a good variety of food available. At lunchtime, we had tasty and cheep options available. The room had air conditioning, perfectly clean room and beds were comfortable. Slightly further away from the beach but a walkable distance and closer to the locals than to the turistival part of Santa Maria. Very quiet too. We felt at home.

The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The workers kept the grounds clean and well maintained. I saw them sweeping the cobblestones and the surrounding areas every day, cleaning the pools, and taking care of the gardens. One could tell how much emphasis the management puts on cleanliness and maintaining the grounds. All the staff were very nice and friendly and greeted me every day. Loved that there were different restaurant choices, either at the beach or at the hotel. The breakfast was amazing and the variety of breakfast foods available. Also, I appreciated that there is a cash machine in the lobby and didn’t have to go out and find an ATM machine to withdraw cash.

Situated 300 metres from Parish of Our Lady of Sorrows in Santa Maria, Porto Antigo Hotel BB welcomes guests with a restaurant and bar. Rooms have a TV. Porto Antigo is a really beautiful Hotel! Our apartment had direct access to a small beach! This was perfect four the kids. The pool is also very nice an close to the pool there is another small beach without stones our rocks in the water...also perfect four children!! The apartment was perfectly clean and you have the basic equipment for cooking!! We spent a really good time in Porto Antigo and I will definitely come another time when I go to Sal.

Everything, from Staff, to the room, to the breakfast was all perfect. The windows are very soundproof, so it was no issue to stay there also during the noisy weekend.
