It was a wonderful weekend getaway, mainly due to the exceptional service of this quiet, peaceful, homely hotel and the helpful receptionists at the front desk. They were kind enough to upgrade our room(which was absolutely huge, clean and perfect for our family) and helped us through booking the tickets to the main attractions and around the town. Free bikes was another advantage of this place since Yangshuo is known for its beautiful surroundings. We took a very nice bike ride around the area not far from the hotel. Breakfast was absolutely what the foreigners would need. If you look for a quiet place yet close to the city center "Bamboo Leaf" is the right place to choose.

Positioned along Taohua River, Secret Courtyard Resort Hotel features a Chinese-style courtyard and is located in Lujia Village, just 1.2 mi from downtown Guilin. Very nice and friendly host. We got nice and refreshing welcome drinks and fruits upon arrival. Spacious, clean and quiet room with mountain view. The bed is very comfortable. Recommend to try the local noodles for breakfast. It's delicious 😋. Coffee is👍 too. About 12-15 mins walking distance to the famous Reed Flute Cave. The host can also arrange local tours. Very cosy and relaxing environment. You will like this resort and appreciate the service.

Nestled in bamboo forests and surrounded by rural farmland, Riverside Retreat Hotel overlooks the beautiful water of the Li River. The hotel is in the most beautiful location on the other side of the river to Yangshuo with the most incredible views of the limestone hills and Yangshuo. Very comfortable big rooms with great beds and bathroom. Huge balcony looking out over the landscape. Easy to get taxis in and out of town. Shelley, Craig and their friendly staff are great hosts and we would like to say a very special thank you to Craig who was so kind to us showing us the beautiful stone village and countryside between Yangshuo and Guilin. We hope to be back one day to your very special hotel and Yangshuo. It really is a very unique place that deserves much time and space.

The hotel managers recently opened this very nice hotel, and in spite of our late arrival, everybody was extremely helpful, and ready to serve us whatever food they had. Michelle and the rest of the staff made the best of our short visit to Guilin. They helped us organize all of our trips in the region, during a very complicated time (around the Chinese New Year). The hotel is about 15 to 20 minutes away from Guiling Bei (north) Railway station, but it's easy to take a cheap taxi to get there. The room was very comfortable and has a lovely view of the karst mountains of Guilin. From Guilin you can visit Yangshuo and Xingping either by bus or train (the train is much faster and very cheap). I really recommend this hotel to travelers who want to spend some quiet quality time in a delightful little town, surrounded by very nice people.

You know Yangshuo is a pearl of the Guangxi. I don't want to give spoilers-it's absolutely amazing. Just go there and enjoy all those gorgeous views. Relax in those mountains, do rest in the Terraced Rice Fields. Don't forget to climb to the Xianggong Mountain. And imagine yourself a tea farmer. Go the the river trip from Yangdi to Ma Mountain. Go to swimming in the Lijiang or Yulong River. And these are not all the things that you should see in Yangshuo. As for choosing the place where to stay-in Yangshuo or Guilin-I highly recommend Yangshuo.

Everything!!! The staff are the nicest and the most hardworking people I have met in my 4 years in China! Hanna was especially helpful and friendly. The food is really good, we ate there every day. The facilities are open late and early and the pool is just gorgeous and super clean. One of the owners was really welcoming and shared a drink with us too. The room is beautiful and super clean. The towels were so fluffy and amazing. The bed was really comfortable. The view from the restaurant, pool and rooms was stunning! The free bikes were great, we took 2 mountain bikes and cycled a really nice trail by the river close by. The services from staff such a recommendations on hikes in Yangshuo and help booking tickets was awesome. I will definitely be back!

The Giggling hotel has great location at the Yulong river. we rented electric scooters to ride along this river. you can also ride to Yangshuo downtown. Kids like the outside swimming pools a lot. they swim twice a day. the large one is 1,40m deep. food is excellent and affordable (chinese and western). kids like the french fries with self made chicken nuggets a lot, we ate other chinese food, all very delicious (salads, eggplant, lemon chicken etc). Employees are very friendly and help with everything. Large rooms have good airconditiing, large comfortable beds (with mosquito nets if needed) and bathrooms are large and very comfortable and stylish. we also took taxi to Guilin (sevenstars park and downtown) and ofcourse we also went to ride boat on the Li river and to dazhai longji rice terraces. Swimming pool was a big suprise and big PLUS.
