Le Vieux Cèdre Grand Place is situated in Mons, 41 km from Valenciennes Train Station and 37 km from Charleroi Expo. Perfect location in the centre of the city, not really far from the bus/train stations. The staff was very friendly and helpful (thank you for early check-in!). The room was big with desk and a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was nice and clean. I really recommend staying in this hotel when in Mons.

Jonathan our host was welcoming and accommodating. Offered breakfast at at time to suit. Each room is beautifully decorated in its own unique style. We chose the Victorian room which was immaculately clean and comfortable with an enormous bed. Jacuzzi was great after a long drive. Robes and slippers provided. Adjustable air conditioning and Netflix provided at no extra cost.

The weather wasn't great during my stay, but with lots of different activities, it wasn't a problem and I noticed families with children also having fun.

Extremely helpful and charming staff.. Breakfast wad excellent with cold meats cheese smoked salmon, freshly baked patisseries and scrambled eggs with cheese and lardons. The breakfast room was a modern spacious extension The room was very comfortable. Bathroom was modern with shelving. A lift made access straightforward - a real plus point for a smallish hotel. Ath itself was a surprise. A small town with a vibrant centre, Grand Place, plenty of bars and restaurants. We found a parking 50 yds from the hotel. Between 5pm and 9am no charge. If you are going to the fabulous Pairi Daiza zoo a great place to stay at 20 minutes journey by car.
