The rooms were comfortable and I really appreciated their efforts to help us disconnect and enjoy the space. The location was stunning! We went in January and the hills were beautiful but I could see how it would equally gorgeous in the summer months.

The hotel itself is small, but I really liked the design and atmosphere. It's very cozy and comfortable here. The owner is very friendly and hospitable. I especially liked the breakfasts with fresh fruits and vegetables, crispy buns and delicious yoghurt. Next time I'm in Leoben, I will definitely stay here.

The sauna area is not the biggest, but it was never crowded. The staff are tremendously forthcoming and friendly. In the area, you can hike up to Pogusch and have amazing views of the mountains.

Room was much bigger than we expected, exceptionally clean, hotel perfectly located - on the main street, few minutes from sops and restaurants. Owner is very pleasant, she gave us many useful tips. Breakfast was carefully selected, tasty and plentiful. All in all, hotel highly recommended.

Hotel Onkel Fritz ligger 3 minuters promenad från centrala Spital am Semmering och 800 meter från skid- och vandringsområdet Stuhleck. Wonderful place, with friendly hosts and amazing breakfast. The rooms are very comfortable, especially the suits. Sauna is also available after skiing. The nearest parking for the slopes is really close to the location. Overall I would recommend it to everyone planning to stay for a few days for skiing, hiking etc. Breakfast is exceptional, and we also appreciated the aim for low waste and environmental friendly accomodation.

The moment you step foot in the cozy 'lobby', you are made to feel right at home. It feels more like visiting a distant relative, than checking into a hotel. We arrived after regular check-in time, and still we were greeted with a glass of sparkling wine and chatted for half an hour - what a difference to what you are used to. This approach directly set the tone for the rest of the stay, and I have not come across a better combination of privacy and luxury, and such a personal touch. During the whole stay, the hosts were super helpful, friendly and could not have made us feel more welcome. The rooms are nicely decorated, beds very comfortable, the view is phenomenal and the breakfast is extensive. It was a lovely experience having it served in the room, with a view over Mariazell and the valley. We had some special requests, and they were more than fulfilled, making this a truly memorable weekend. From the hotel, you get to the center of Mariazell within minutes on foot, but getting to the hotel by car is equally easy, making it a great starting point for excursions into the region.
