Arawe is a newly renovated 150-year old nature cottage located around 400m from the centre of Ella.

The cottage stands on a 5-acre land overlooking a rice paddy field and is the only guest accommodation on the property.

Offering barbecue facilities and a garden. This lodge comes with 2 separate bedrooms. We loved out stay at Arawe, it was one of the most pleasant stays in Sri Lanka. The bungalow was beautifully decorated, it’s located near the forest and tea plantations and it’s within walking distance from the city center. The breakfast was excellent. Our daughter loved to play with the friendly dogs and cat, we saw a lot of birds and even fireflies at night.

Had and amazing stay! Just 2 nights but could have been a week. Just enough outside of downtown (a short walk or tuk tuk ride) to be peaceful and quiet but close enough to pop in for a meal, drink or a little bit of night life. The breakfast was perfect (great French press coffee) and my wife was able to take a yoga class each morning which she loved (she is a yoga teacher here in the US). The shower water pressure was great with plenty of hot water. The balcony off of the room was amazing with monkeys paying a visit in the morning. We slept well and didn't even use the fan provided. Will 100% be back to stay again. Thanks!

The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge. This place is amazing and is run by one of the kindest and friendliest families. The room is perfect; very comfortable, clean and nicely decorated. The breakfast was also delicious and the view from the hotel is breathtaking. Overall, the hotel exceed our expectations by a mile and was one of the best places we have ever stayed at. I would definitely recommend to anyone staying in Ella, excellent value for money.

Situated in Ella, 4.9 km from Demodara Nine Arch Bridge, Tantra Ella Lodge features accommodation with a terrace, free WiFi, room service, and a 24-hour front desk. With mountain views, this accommodation provides a balcony. I like everything about Tantra Lodge, everything was perfect as I saw online. It is a beautiful little oasis surrounded by trees full of wonderful wildlife. This place is also only a very short walk from Ella town, it is convenient for restaurants. Supermarket, shops and all the local must see attractions such as “9 Arches Bridge’ and ‘Little Adams Peak’ etc and many stunning hikes. It was so central here, I walked everywhere. My host Anjalo was the kindest, most thoughtful and best host in Ella, he went above & beyond to make sure I had a comfortable stay. He had much information to share and was always available when I needed him. My room was cosy, bright and modern, with a big & very comfortable bed, I had lovely private bathroom and shower. It was super clean and tidy. I also had access to a gorgeous & peaceful balcony space outside my room, where I often took rest and read or wrote. I loved everything about this homestay, it was home away from home.

Both a bicycle rental service and a car rental service are available at the lodge, while cycling can be enjoyed nearby. It was a real pleasure to spend a night here. We had to leave the next day, but if we'd been able to, we would have stayed another night. The place is wonderful, the host is great and really funny. This is one of the best places I've stayed in Sri Lanka.
