Gondwana Canyon Village, lodge in Kanebis

Located amongst the rocky hills of Gondwana Nature Park, Gondwana Canyon Village offers accommodation within 55 km of Klein Karas.

Each of the stone-and-thatch rooms at Canyon Village are air-conditioned and have beds draped with mosquito nets. They have an en suite bathroom with a shower.

The atmosphere was magic. The lodge was extremely beautiful. It was clean, calm, the team was welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was very good. The surroundings were stunning. The pool was lovely. There are lots of activities one may book. A perfect place to relax and feel happiness. I will definitely come back and highly recommend this lodge!

    Sensational desert setting with a short drive to the spectacular Fish River Canyon. Very comfortable rooms with buffet breakfast and dinner. Spectacular sunset walk to the top of their mountain and if you are a competent 4 wheel driver, their self drive, 4 hour safari is well worth the effort for the scenery and wildlife.

    The lodges configuration and the terrasse. The breakfast was nice and also very good food at the dinne. The feeling of being alone in the middle of nowhere. The pool location and the view. The proximité of the fish River Canyon (15 - 30 min). The sunset / the sunrise on the stones.

    Great location, wonderful lights at the dining area, very romantic. Super friendly staff. The hiking trail starting at the lodge is highly recommended. But be careful to make the right turn at a certain point. It would be the short or the very long version. Ask staff to explain. Take water…

    This lodge is more geared towards hosting larger groups (buses) - nice location - nice restaurant - friendly staff. Nearby, mainly a visit to fish river canyon is worthwhile. (Second largest canyon in the world - definitely worth a visit). The main canyon viewpoints are a short half-hour drive from the lodge.

    I like the Gondwana hotels/lodges. The company clearly sets - & achieves - a good standard. If someone’s new to Namibia & unsure about accommodation, stay in lodges from the Gondwana website …can’t go wrong.

    Most lodges in Namibia are quiet and secluded, but Gondwana Canyon Village has a particularly wonderful atmosphere, especially in the evening and at night. The lodge exudes (in a positive sense) the rustic charm of a colonial desert camp - with a pool. We have rarely met a more attentive, friendly and helpful manager than Charles - he alone adds a lot to the experience.
