Ambong Rainforest Retreat offers an adult-only getaway amidst tropical surroundings. Located on a steep hill within the rainforest, rooms are only accessible via long staircases. It is a 4-minute drive from Pantai Cenang, a 15-minute drive from Langkawi Airport and a 30-minute drive from Kuah Town.

Simply: everything! Ambong Rainforest Retreat is such a great place run by lovely people. Everything is well thought through and the service is exceptional. In fact we loved the stay so much that we changed our travel schedule to enjoy more time here. The hotel is surrounded by beautiful nature, yet, the Cenang strip/mall is within walking distance (30min) or alternatively a Grab/taxi can be hailed easily. The hotel staff - everyone (!) - is super nice and helpful with suggesting activities and what not. The breakfast is delicious and guests can choose between two wonderful restaurants with great atmosphere and views (one is vegan). Thanks to the whole Ambong Team for having us and making our honeymoon start as amazing as it could have been - we will definitely stay at Ambong when coming back to Langkawi!

Beautiful one of a kind stay in an eco lodge. Beautiful location, very relaxing taking in the views and open air layout of the communal leisure/recreational zone. Perfectly situated away from the busy parts of town but still central enough for all parts of the island to remain accessible.

They both picked up and dropped us off at the airport making it a very smooth stay. You’re right by the wonderful (but busy) beach, full of many activities to choose from! Tours to the nearby islands are provided by Yati and Mas, they also provided many leaflets to look through and lots of advice for the best things to see and do! If you stay at the Langkawi Country Lodge, you will be very well looked after!

Afterwards I went to the room which was a typical wooden house, super spacious, tastefully decorated and clean. Has everything you need. Dinner at the restaurant was delicious. Located just a short ride from the airport. I highly recommend this place for your stay in Langkawi.

Ma & Pa are lovely people who make you feel at home- they also really help out in planning your trips and doing the bookings. Second the location is great as well. The beach is approximately 5 min walk away, but the lodge is away from the hustle and bustle.
