Walk to Shinjuku station was easy and there was a convenient store right across the hotel. We stayed at Sunroute twice during our time in Japan with a side trip in between. The concierge was able to store our luggage for 2N which was helpful and convenient. The self check in was a bit fiddly but the staff behind the counter pre-empted the issue and proactively resolved it. Space under the bed for storage was good.

The surrounding area is peaceful and quiet, the streets and neighbourhood are clean and there are parks for relaxation close by. The Hatagaya and Sasazuka train stations are within easy walking distance of the apartment. The communication from the owner is great and we made an easy booking through booking.com. We would definately use this accommodation again on our next trip to Japan.

Very friendly and helpful staff, most of whom can communicate in English (sometimes not fluently but still better than my Japanese!) Clean and tidy with daily towel changes and fresh water bottles everyday. Excellent showers and a window that actually opens (unusual in newer hotels.). The bakery downstairs is great and there is plenty of space to sit in two lounges.
