Great base for exploring the Tateyama Gorge, across the street from Tateyama station. The hotel and rooms are modern and updated. Bath was nice also. The staff were wonderful and kind. They had a private room with futon mattresses that were very comfortable. It's also a great cafe during the day, with tasty drinks and ice cream.

Guesthouse Iwase is set in Toyama, 2.2 km from Toyama-kō and 14 km from Toyama Family Park. Very friendly and helpful owner. Not far from Higashi-Iwase tram line. Beds are comfortable and private. Bike, toothbrush, and towel rental available.

It was located in a beautiful location out in the countryside full of critters for my son to enjoy and birds and cicadas for us to listen to. The interior of the traditional home has been updated and is clean and attractive. We were there in the middle of summer when the sun rises before 5AM and the curtains in the bedroom were dark enough to keep the light out. This was much appreciated! Most importantly, our host and his family were welcoming and friendly, even bringing a musician to put on a small concert one night we were there!

Travelers' house ROOTs is located in Takaoka, 25 km from Toyama-kō and 47 km from Kanazawa Station. I like everything. The staff is very kind, and give great suggestion. They are very chill and open to help you. The general vibe is super nice. Bed were very comfortable!. I loved it!
