Great social environment in the hostel in the common area. Everything was clean. Good location, near everything. Staff was kind and welcoming and helpful. They have instructions on how to get to many of the major sites in the area, which is very helpful. Lockers available for bags in the room.

Great hostel right in the city center close to everything. Sultan at the front desk helped us to find a cab to take us across the boarder & gave us bus info for hikes - thanks legend! We were a bit run down so we just crashed in the room for 2 days and recovered and the room was perfect, own bathroom with a huge shower & comfy beds

Soonum Hostel is more like a homestay. The host family is incredibly kind and hospital. The mother often invites the guests to pancake and snacks. I felt so at home there I never wanted to leave. The beds are comfy, the amenities great and there is a proper kitchen and fridge. They have the most adorable baby, Serdar who is a delight to play with and super friendly.

While the location is slightly outside of the main part of town, I thought the experience was 100% worth it. The owners have created a magical oasis at Happy Nomad, with comfortable accommodations, tasty food, and a charming setting. The family is absolutely adorable! Highly recommend.

Quiet neighborhood, I could really relax. Bus stop 101 for trekking to Ala Kul, it's just 3 minutes from the hostel. Plenty of space, internet works well. There was a large kitchen and nice common room. Berdibek is a great owner, laid back, you can talk to him about any topic, and he is not a money-hungry person, like many other people in his position.

Located very close to center, the rooms are larger, meals were great, friendly, knowledgful & helpful Host & very Budget friendly. Hostel Nice is such a chill hostel. Jen is the sweetest and so so helpful. She looked up things for me to do in Karakol in case I was bored. And she always helped me out - even coming with me to the store to rent snowshoes. Greatest and nicest staff!!! And best hostel in Karakol!!

Everything was quick and easy, and hostel is placed really good near a nice ortodox wooden church. Place is also full of travelers who are open to activities which is the reason why everyone comes to Karakol. On the reception you can also find detailed information about really nice places to visit, even in the snow you can hike and explore (if you have what it takes). If I come back I would try to stay here again.
