Belfast International Youth Hostel is located 7 minutes’ walk from the Botanic Garden. It offers private and dormitory rooms, an on-site café and a free Wi-Fi zone.

Rooms at the hostel feature shared or private bathroom facilities. Linens are provided and dormitory rooms also feature lockers. Guests can also relax in the lounge areas. Self service laundry facilities are also available.

I was travelling with my 17-year-old son. We had booked the cheapest room availabe, because we arrived late and had to leave early again the next morning, We knew that we would only sleep in the room and would not need a lot of comfort. The hostel nevertheless contacted us and pointed out to us (in a very humorous way) that the room only measured 6 m² and if we wanted to grade it up for a few pounds more. We didn't, because for our short stay the room was perfect. There were two bunk beds in it, a sink and a small coatrack. We were on the 3rd floor and it was very quiet although the hostel is situated at a main street. The staff was very friendly and helpful. On the day of our departure we could leave our luggage in the hostel until late in the evening and they did not charge us anything for it. We had booked a tour to Giant's Causeway and picked our luggage up when coming back from our tour and going on to Liverpool by boat. On the ground floor there was a lounge with a fridge, a microwave, cutlery, tea, coffee, sugar, where you could help yourself and have breakfast or prepare anything else to eat. Very nice people working there, you feel very welcome. I can recommend this hostel to everybody who doesn't expect luxury.

Looking for a hostel?

Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.

The property was beautifully decorated, spacious and had all the amenities you would need. Nuala the host had brilliant communication and thought of everything! Really helpful information and instructions. The property was in a great location with bars, shops and restaurants near by. To the city centre it was a 10 minute taxi or bus ride or a 30 minute walk which was a straight route, super safe and easy! Couldn’t recommend this property enough!

Things started off strong with this hotel - very friendly staff, straight-forward check in, and nice room. The hotel has a 'grown up' hostel vibe, by which I mean the rooms are compact, no frills and kitchens on most floors. Everything was very clean, and overall a quiet hotel. Perfect for a budget stay.

We’d a double bed facing the road, a bit noisy when window was opened to let fresh air in but not too much noise late at night. Location is central to attractions. Free on-site parking. Kitchen was well equipped and pretty clean. Staffs were friendly and kept the hostel very safe.

Located close to the city center, the hostel is worth the price: the rooms are small but clean and the staff is friendly and willing to help. Individual showers is a plus, and other bathroom facilities are what you would expect from a cheap youth hostel. Good experience overall.

Cheap and cheerful hostel. Good location and clean. I stayed in a private room and had my own en suite bathroom, which was handy. Everything worked as expected and the building felt safe and secure.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room itself was exactly what you needed it to be - clean, comfortable, convenient and as a bonus, cheap! It was extremely good value for money and was a great location. Very close to the Botanic Train Station and to the Botanic Gardens/ student area. Some really great places to eat were nearby too. I would definitely stay here again. The area felt very safe and wasn't far to walk to from the city centre. Comes recommended!
