The Sepilok Forest Edge Resort is definitely one of the best hotels where we stayed during our two-week Borneo trip. Its location right at the entrance to the Orangutan Rehabilitation Center is unbeatable. The hotel grounds themselves are spacious and the bungalows are not clustered together, making it wonderfully quiet. We stayed in one at the very back with a view into the jungle. We have never seen so many different monkeys strolling by as we did there. Simply incredible to be surrounded by nature like that. The rooms themselves are large, very clean and the bed is super comfortable. The partially outdoor bathroom is spacious enough and equipped with everything you need. The entire resort is extremely peaceful and calming. The restaurant serves many Western dishes, including plenty of vegetarian options, which we appreciated as it can be difficult to find a wider selection of vegetarian food in this part of the world. We would have loved to stay longer.

Apart from that, i have no issue with the place itself. It was cozy and perfecy for a weekend retreat!

My son was very excited and happy about our stay in Ara Dinawan. If you plan to visit this island, recommend to stay at this resort instead of coming by one-day tour. You can enjoy the quite island and the private atmosphere from the late afternoon to the early morning.
