It is located next to a village and very close to the creek. it was a lifetime experience, i highly recommend this place.

Lovely place on the beach. Good food, some of the friendliest and most helpful staff we’ve seen in Kenya. Plenty of outdoor lounge areas, a beautiful pool and an outdoor self-serving kitchen. We stayed in the tent and with the breeze, shade and fan it was still one of the best and coolest nights of sleep we had. One of our favorite spots in Kenya!

This tent features a private entrance. Located at Kilifi Creek, just 3 km outside of town and surrounded by a community forest, Distant Relatives Ecolodge and Backpackers features a secluded beach... amazing pool and accommodation, very chilled out staff. it was a struggle to leave! 5 mins walk to the beach (to see the luminescent plankton) and easy to get into town. Good Wi-Fi.

We enjoyed our stay at the Eco camp, on arrival to the airport we were welcome by a very friendly face- Frederick. From the start of our trip till the end Freddy was outstanding, the most welcoming and sweet host we have ever met. He ensured everything about our stay was as best as can be, from the amazing local food to organising canoe trips. The staff are what make this accommodation shine, the facilities and surroundings make you feel at peace with nature. WiFi, coldrinks and service was perfect for what we needed. Thank you very much to Freddy and staff for the lovely introduction to Kenya and Mida Creek.
