Quinta Vilar e Almarde offers rustic-style accommodation in Castelo de Paiva. The family was amazing at the arrival. Amazing place to go and relax with the lovely view and pool area. I 100% recommend this place. Won’t hesitate to come back !

Offering a terrace and views of the mountain, Candeias do Souto is located in Bragança in the Norte Region, 9 km from Braganca Castle. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar. Very friendly hostess. Cake and pumpkin jam when we arrived. Very comfortable room with access to the garden. The house is historic and full of character.

Situată pe un domeniu viticol, pe malul drept al fluviului Duero, Quinta De La Rosa este o proprietate de familie, aflată la 2 km de Pinhão. First of all, the staff was very kind. We arrived later in the evening and we stayed there only one night. The receptionist said since we arrived late and couldn't enjoy the possibilities of the quinta, after check-out we can still come back to try the pool or eat a dinner in their restaurant. That felt like a very nice gesture. The quinta itself was really beautiful, the view from our room was perfect the windows looked to the river! The design was amazing, too. Tim's terrace had a great tapas and the breakfast was also amazing!

Overlooking the scenic Douro River Valley, Quinta da Casa Cimeira, Guest House, Wines & Food is set in a historic country house and surrounded by a garden and vineyards. Breakfast was lovely with fresh juice, pastries and fruit. We were also sent away with extra slices of cake and fruit for our journey! We also had dinner there and nothing was too much. The food was excellent but was clearly prepared just for us and made it even more special with all the beams and vineyard features such as barrels in the reception and dining room. The bedroom was very cosy and the bed was extremely comfy and bathroom with a bath was excellent. The room was very large and had lots of features to make us feel like we were in the vineyard. The best bit was when we arrived and we were greeted by the family with glasses of port from their vineyard for free before sitting by a toasty fire to warm up - perfect welcome!!

This is a newly opened property, I think it was the first or second week that they have been open so we were some of their very first guests...The Property "Quinta" is located a little way outside Braga in a quiet location. It is a family-run property and upon arrival, we were initially greeted by Joao, one of the 3 sons, and the mother and father (Mae and Pai) also came out to greet us. We were given a tour of the rooms in what was originally a wheat-drying facility, now a beautifully renovated building. The renovations are beautifully done with wonderful design features that were clearly professionally designed and executed. As we were the only guests that evening we chose the room overlooking the pool area. Shortly after settling into our room, we were surprised by an amazing view of food and drinks poolside, prepared and cooked by the Mae and Pai using either produce from the property or local sources. Pork chops, cheeses, bread, homemade sausage, ham, and Wine from their vines. We sat by the pool enjoying the delicious food and despite the parents speaking almost no English and our limited Portuguese, we laughed and talked for hours. The following morning we had more delicious freshly prepared foods including a cake straight from the oven and freshly squeezed orange juice using fruit plucked off their own trees. It was clear that they are incredibly proud of their home, their family and the "Quinta". We were genuinely made to feel like family, NOT guests. Amazing. We actually returned the following evening and were welcomed with a tour of their fields, vineyard, sheep, ducks, beautiful German shepherds and so much more. The property is a not in town - but not far out - however, it is an oasis of kindness, peace and warmth. There is nothing not to love about the farm, facilities or family. A hidden gem.

Nuno is an outstanding host. He seems to have a special worldview. His place looks like a piece of heaven, he welcomed us with open arms, gave us recommendations around the village, allowed us to use all the facilities - unlimited pool, kitchen and public living room, check out until 2pm with an elaborate breakfast. He suggested us to stay even after checking out to use these facilities. The environment gives quality time with nature, we rested and enjoyed. Only one minor thing-the road to the place includes sharp descents with narrow road-alleys that only good drivers can manage. Thank you for the time in Paradise Nuno. We will definitely come back to stay.

Quinta de Travassinhos is a beautiful, peaceful place to relax and get away from the world. The room was lovely, a huge shower, clean + incredibly comfortable beds. The pool area is stunning with an amazing view. The staff could not have been kinder, more helpful or made our stay any better. Nothing was too much trouble, they provided a delicious three course dinner for 30 euros and went out of their way to book things for us. It was an absolute pleasure to meet them and we could not recommend this place more.

The location was great for a nature bath. The host was really kind and helpful. the house looks like what the photos show.
