This hotel is located in The Wharf, part of a mile long stretch of DC's Potomac River featuring restaurants, shops and recreational space. just everything ! the location / staff / spacious rooms . Good we took the decision to stay here and not in the downtown as the strip is happening and a buzzing one ! Helpful and polite staff at the hotel to top it all . Hence a memorable trip to DC

Centrally located in downtown Washington, D.C., this LEED Silver-certified hotel is 1 mile from the Smithsonian Museums. stay here with a family. Two king size beds! We later moved to meet friends at a different hotel and only had two doubles. the difference of having those king beds was sooooooo worth it, especially with older kids. Get the breakfast in your rate, it is way to expensive if you try to pay later ($40 a person - far less when booked in the hotel rate). the location is also ideal. just a short walk and you are on the National Mall! my husband and I would go walking early in the morning on the National mall while our teen zombies slept, we would come back for breakfast with them, and then all head out. we could come back at the heat of the day and then head out at night if we wanted. easy walk to a metro stop if we wanted to go other places outside the National mall. Overall was a great location.

This hotel is situated along the mile-long pier of The Wharf, featuring restaurants, retail and fun activities on DC’s Potomac River. This is a great hotel. Can't say it any better. Worth the stay.

This Washington DC hotel is one block from Federal Center SW Metro Stop allowing access to the city. The hotel offers an indoor pool and business centre. The breakfast was great. They had a variety to choose from and something for everybody.

Located in Southwest Waterfront, Salamander Washington DC is 730 metres from the L'Enfant Plaza Metro station. A full-service spa is available for a fee, and rooms offer city or water views. The breakfast was fantastic, really a highlight. I'd definitely stay again. The comfort, peace and quiet and proximity to the Wharf area for food/nightlife is great. The water pressure in the shower was great.
