Miracle checked us in and she was very friendly and helpful, giving us vouchers to use in the bar and restaurant. We ate breakfast which took quite a while to come and the coffee wasn't the best but the restaurant area is very stylish. The location is right in the centre of Harlem and I felt we got very good value for money.

The Harlem Flophouse is like staying in a magical museum. It was fantastic! The best part was sitting in the clawfoot bath at the end of a long day walking around New York, soaking and relaxing in the super cute bathroom. We loved staying here and will definitely come again!

At first I was a bit skeptical because there were only 3 reviews on Booking.com. But I was completely satisfied with the apartment. There are several subways within walking distance and there is even a train station. There are enough public parking spaces on the street or one street away. During the 4 days I had to briefly park the car on the other side of the street for 1:30 hours and then return to the same parking lot. Cafes, grocery stores, dry cleaners, restaurants, etc. are also around the corner. The apartment is very stylish, quiet and clean, with a TV room, bathroom and bedroom. WiFi was free. The first access to the apartment worked without contact with a person but only by emailing a numerical code that grants access.
