There are local restaurants around the area of the hotel or if you are into conbinis, there is Family Mart, 7-11, and Lawson within 500 meters circumference from the hotel. Japan is now practically avoiding plastic bags and you will be charged for every bag you need, but if you bring along with you a reusable eco bag, shop attendants and cashiers will definitely appreciate it. JR Hamamatsucho station is just a couple of stations away from Tokyo and Shinagawa stations in opposite directions and is very convenient if you will be traveling by shinkansen towards the north (Tohoku) or the south (Kansai).
