Located in Okuhida Onsen Village among the Japanese Alps, Hodakaso Yamano Hotel features 7 public hot-spring baths and a fireplace lounge. Rooms offer beautiful mountain views and a private bathroom. Location spectacular. Outside onsen was beautiful with a snow covered mountain view. Food excellent and service wonderful . Highly recommend the full dinner.

Situated in a tranquil area in Gifu Region, a 52-minute drive away from JR Takayama Station, Mozumo boasts a hot-spring bath and rooms decorated with modern Japanese interior. Stunning place between the mountains with natural hot springs. The hotel has secluded rooms with private pools with a wonderful view of the forest and garden. Spacious rooms with tatami mats, where they served us dinner and breakfast. The dinner was definitely a great experience and totally worth the money. The same goes for breakfast. Stuff was extremely attentive and really kind. Our biggest regret is that we have booked only one night.

Featuring free WiFi throughout the property, Pension Kinoshita is set in Takayama, 40 km from Hida Minzoku Mura Folk Village. Free private parking is available on site. The owners are superb. We can feel their devotes and well-welcomed minds. Language is not a problem. The place is very nice and cozy. Both dinner and breakfast are very good.

I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who enjoy authentic Japanese style meals and hot spring. The family run this hotel with a lot of thoughtful care and hospitality. The traditional Japanese meals were authentic and served with fresh Hilda beef and local vegetables. As a hot spring lover, the hot spring were beyond expectation. There are private room and shared room for hot spring, and they all have great view of quiet forest. (It was snowy the day I came, and the experience of bathing hot spring in a snowy forest was superb.) The owners are very friendly and kind!

Offering free flowing spring water from two different hot springs and ski storage space, Oyado Eitaro is set in the Okuhida Onsen district in Takayama. Free private parking is available on site. There was a lot to like about Oyado Eitaro. The location is very convenient - only a five (maybe less) minute walk from the bus center. We dropped off our luggage before checking in and later found the bags in our room. The dinner was a wonderful experience and was probably some of the best food we had on our trip. It was a great way to try many different dishes, all of them well prepared. Breakfast was a similar experience. Both the public and private onsens were very relaxing and very clean. Overall an amazing experience. If we ever come back to the area, we’ll be looking to rebook Oyado Eitaro.

Set amid a beautiful landscape in Okuhida Onsengo hot-spring area, Yamazatonoiori Soene offers beautiful rooms in a Japanese style with river or garden views. We love and enjoyed open air Onsen with Riverview, it was fabulous, even the kids love it as well. Traditional Japanese-style Dinner and breakfast were amazing.

Located in the Okuhida Fukuji hot-spring area, Furusato offers accommodations with tatami (woven-straw) floors. Guests can enjoy the public indoor/outdoor hot-spring baths. A very lovely experience in snow covered surroundings. This was all around a perfect experience.

Located in the Okuhida hot-spring area, guests at Katsuragi no Sato stay in spacious Japanese-style cottages with free Wi-Fi, tatami (woven-straw) floors and a traditional Irori hearth. Clean and authentic hotel with lots of character, with the ambiance of the nearby waterfall and river. An 11 course dinner of delicious traditional Japanese food, private and shared hot springs baths made with wood and river stone, surrounded by the beautiful forest, all made for a highly memorable stay. I would highly recommend to others.
