The night at Motomiya Guest House as a whole was a magical experience. The owner is one of the nicest people we've met, our room was big and cosy and the food was simply delicious. Magome is a picturesque village that leaves a great impression and staying at Motomiya Guest House made everything even better. Our favourite night in Japan.

Located in the historical town of Magome, Tajimaya features Japanese-style accommodations in a 110-year old building. Each room features a flat-screen TV, and guests can relax in the public bath. Beautiful ryokan, very comfortable mattress and futon, breakfast and dinner was very delicious and beautiful arrangement, staff were very kind and attentive, excellent location for start Nakasendo trail.

The host was super friendly and very helpful, even when we had some additional requests. Thanks so much for all the help! The rooms were veeery spacious (converted classrooms). The shared toilet & shower facilities were also very clean and nice—overall the building interior felt very new.

GUESTHOUSE YANAGIYA offers accommodations in Nakatsugawa, 13 miles from Ōi and 13 miles from Enakyo Wonderland. Amazing location in Magome, right on the main path. The owner is very friendly and helpful, we really enjoyed our stay here. It’s very comfy and spacious and in a historic home. :)

Just 131 feet from restored Edo-era post town Magome-Juku, Chaya Hotel has simple traditional rooms with futon bedding and a tatami-mat floor. Beautiful guest house. Very clean and tidy and lovely staff. The dinner and breakfast were fabulous. Highly recommend for families
