Everything was just so great in this hotel. They have very nice scenery and beautiful onsen. The breakfast and dinner are both delicious. We would like express our gratitude the staff at the hotel. I have inadvertently left a down jacket at the hotel. They kept it nicely and helped me to send it back home.

Inn NOSHIYU se nachází v destinaci Minamioguni a poskytuje vířivku a ubytování s bezplatným Wi-Fi a kuchyňským koutem. Sopka Aso je 40 km odtud. Very nice accommodation with excellent, well trained staffs that will go out of their way to help you. Comfortable rooms, beds. The breakfast was excellent, with western style freshly baked pastries, perfect omelette, served with other things. We get to use the private and public onsen at the main hotel just opposite for free, which we love so much. This is a place where it is convenient if you have a car.

Built in 1722, Okyakuya is situated in the historical district of Kurokawa Onsen district. Located only 100 metres from Kurokawa Onsen, Free WiFi is provided and private parking is available on site. This is one of the most memorable stay in Japan for us, the staff is friendly and the place itself is very calming. We enjoy the onsen very much and the history of the building. Highly recommended to visit!

Kurokawa Onsen Yama no Yado Shinmeikan má 5 termálních lázní, včetně 30metrové jeskynní lázně. We spent 3 nights at the Sotetsu Fresa Inn Nihonbashi Kayabacho hotel after arriving in Japan (There is another Fresa Inn in the area, so make sure this is where you have your reservation). It is a relatively modern, functional hotel sometimes referred to as a business hotel.  The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was very small as is typical in Tokyo but very clean and functional.  The hotel is convenient to Tokyo station (20 minutes walking as a reference). After arriving on the Narita Express or by others means to Tokyo station, follow signs to the Tozai line (sky blue) subway. The easiest way to know which direction to go is to look at the numbers representing the stops.  The Tokyo station stop at Otemachi is T-9 and you want to go to T-7 Kayabacho. Leave the Kayabacho subway station via Exit 7 and the hotel is just around the corner.  From Kayabaco or the nearby Nihonbashi station, you can get all around Tokyo on the highly efficient subway system.  Use a Suica, Welcome Suica or Pasmo card to enter and exit subways and avoid the hassle of figuring out which ticket to buy or how much they coat. Just tap and go.  Enjoy. Kokura,Onsen EXPERIENCE JAPAN LIKE THE JAPANESE We decided to spend a couple of days in central Kyushu to enjoy a traditional Japanese ryokan experience. Boy, was that a great call! I88We stayed at the Yama no Yado Shinmeikan  in the Kokura Onsen area, which is an hour north of Aso city by bus. The ryokan is 130 years old but is clean and well-maintained. It features a total of 5 unique onsens, including one carved into a cave.  The ambiance is terrific and the staff is super friendly and helpful.  The ryokan is located along a flowing river and the sound of running water adds to the relaxing quality of the stay.  (The Fuji room is best). All accommodations are traditional Japanese tatami rooms which are made up for sleep each night by the staff as you enjoy the onsen baths.

Situated along Tanohara River and surrounded by tranquil nature in Kurokawa Onsen hot spring area, Oku no Yu Ryokan offers charming Japanese-style accommodation and various hot spring baths. Very clean rooms and baths, beautiful surrounds and delicious food.

Located in the centre of Kurokawa Onsen, Oyado Noshiyu offers outdoor and indoor hot-spring baths, Japanese-style accommodations and a traditional teahouse. Amazing atmosphere and incredibly nice staff. Delicious food. A beautiful place “suspended in time”.

Nanjoen se nachází v centru oblasti Kurokawa Onsen a může se pochlubit celkem 8 vnitřními i venkovními termálními lázněmi. Nabízí tradiční ubytování v japonském stylu s tatami (tkaná sláma). The room was lovely, large tatami room with a table and chairs by a hand he window with a view of the mountains. The bath was well appointed and serene with a nice open air bath area. The dinner and breakfast were just delicious. Highly recommend!

Boasting spacious indoor and outdoor hot spring baths surrounded by lush greenery, Ryokan Wakaba provides Japanese-style accommodation in the peaceful mountain area. The staff was incredibly welcoming, happy to help us around; both before our stay as well as on site — they even took care of parking our rental car :) Meals (both dinners and breakfasts) were one of the highlights of the stay, with an amazing variety of truly excellent dishes — and different everyday! The onsen was amazing, we truly appreciated having the option to book a private room for ourselves, as this was our honeymoon. The rooms was great as well, in a traditional japanese setting, with extremely comfortable futons, a private bath, and an adjoining tea room.

Ryokan Ichinoi se nachází pouhých 5 minut chůze od centra termální čtvrti Kurokawa a nabízí ubytování v japonském stylu s japonskými župany Yukata. Every thing was wonderful, but the staff was exceptional.

Kurokawa Mori No Kiki se nachází ve čtvrti Kurokawa Onsen v destinaci Minamioguni. Sopka Aso se nachází 41 km odtud a Jezero Kinrinko 49 km. This stay was magical. The amenities were exceptional, and the house was extremely clean and relaxing. The onsen bath was a really great way to relax. We ended up cancelling our plans so that we could spend the day relaxing at the house instead. It was so peaceful and beautiful. The beds were so soft, and the quality of the bedding, toiletries, and the tea/coffee/ice cream/milk were really high! The owner was exceptionally nice, and he has a restaurant that we went to for dinner. I have dietary requirements, and they went to a huge effort to source ingredients that I could eat and prepared a delicious and extremely well priced meal. Everything about this stay was exceptional!
