Located just a few steps from the Sassi di Matera UNESCO site, Il Belvedere boasts a furnished terrace with panoramic views of Matera. WiFi is free throughout the property. The VIEW!!! This is my 3rd visit to Matera and this is the best hotel I stayed. The staffs are so kind and helpful in every way. The rooms and bathrooms were super clean and comfy. The breakfast in the balcony with a view is just healing and relaxing. We will definitely come back here for our next visit.

Le Malve Cave Retreat Cave Retreat is located in Sasso Caveoso, the historic part of Matera. It boasts air-conditioned rooms with a town-view balcony and a buffet breakfast. Very good location. The staff are kind and share a lot of information if anything you need. Breakfast has many option you can it.

Set inside the Matera Sassi UNESCO site, Corte San Pietro is housed in a renovated historical building carved out of stone. It offers rooms with a private entrance and free Wi-Fi throughout. Everything! A stylish authentically decorated hotel with amazing staff. Gorgeous little courtyard for after dinner lemincello. Fabulous breakfast. Excellent location in old city. Lovely room. Would def recommend.

Perfect hotel! In every aspects! Big and specious room, the design of the hotel is amazing. It was the best decision to choose this cave hotel in the city of caves. The hotel offers delicious breakfast with wide range of selection. Very helpful and friendly staff. I will definitely choose this hotel again when I visit Matera again. From the hotel everything was within a few minutes walking distance.

You could get around the old city on foot to all of the popular locations but still be in place that is quite enough for a peaceful nights sleep. Gianni and Angela were wonderful hosts. Angela kept up-to-with our arrival on a heavily delayed train which got us in very late. Couldn’t wish for more!
