Built in the 1800s, the recently restored Uppercross House Hotel is located in bustling Rathmines, just over the canal on Dublin's south side. Older building but keep up well, very good breakfast, quiet, walking distance to restaurants and pubs

Situated just 15 minutes' walk from St Stephen’s Green, the Travelodge Dublin City Rathmines offers budget rooms with power showers. The hotel is located within walking distance to the city centre. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. There is a desk and a tea tray in every room. The only problem was inadequate heating at night - the radiators turned off after some time and I would wake up in the middle of the night, feeling too cold. Otherwise I had a comfortable stay. I also appreciated the fact that I could leave my luggage in the storage before check-in. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful.

The Leeson Lodge is a family-run guesthouse located in the quieter Georgian Quarter of Dublin's city centre. Very nice looking room, had even a balcony above a small fountain. Could not have been happier with the room.
