Set directly on the shores of Lake Maggiore, Art Hotel Ristorante Posta Al Lago offers a restaurant with sweeping views of the lake and surrounding mountains. The hotel is in a great position on the waterfront overlooking Brissago Island. Our room had a balcony to enjoy the view. The food in the restaurant is fantastic and especially a beautiful breakfast. The staff were very friendly. Nice to be out of town but with easy access by bus to Locarno. We would highly recommend staying at the Art Hotel and plan to go back again.

Only a 5-minute drive from Ascona, the La Rocca hotel in Porto Ronco enjoys a quiet, elevated location, 3 minutes' walk from Lago Maggiore. It offers free WiFi. The food is very good. No need to have dinner out. The room is nice, the views are very nice of the lake. The staff is responsive and friendly.

Appartamenti Ramarro is located in the Porto Ronco district of Ronco s/Ascona - Porto Ronco, 7.1 km from Golfclub Patriziale Ascona, 45 km from Lugano Station and 47 km from Exhibition Center Lugano. Ramarro is a lovely apartment. It includes a free parking at the main street which is very convenient as there is not so much space at the lake. From there you need to take a few stairs to get to the apartment, which is bit of a struggle to get your luggage up but it makes that you have a nice view over the lake from the little terrace in front of the apartment. The apartment is well organized, lovely decorated and very clean. The kitchen is well-equipped and has everything you need (including dish washer, coffee machine with a few free capsules, all kitchen tools, etc.). The bathroom and shower were clean and perfect, the bed was very comfortable. You can still hear the busy road a bit but if you keep the windows closed (there is air-conditioning), it doesn't disturb you. Locarno is a 10-min drive from the apartment. The host is very friendly and communication was good (he speaks French and German).

I really loved my stay at Casa Conti and the marvelous room, it has such a spectacular and a very close view on lake Maggiore that makes the place extra special, and the rooms has a very fine taste spacious, comfortable and very well equipped. I highly recommend this exceptionally beautiful place and the very kind and hospital Family Conti that are always very responsive and present and very caring.
