Yvonne was the very best. She is kind and thoughtful. I had a chest cold while there from allergies to the trees of North Carolina. Yvonne sent me some lovely pomegranate juice to bolster my system. She had coffee delivered. She genuinely cared and was so kind. I decided to add two days to my trip. Tim was wonderful and came to fix my rocking chair when a slat came loose. The two of them made my stay divine. I had the most perfect cabin, the one with a one bedroom and living room. Plus a large wide deck with big rocking chairs. I spent hours on my deck listening to the many birds singing and the water of the river rushing over gentle falls. I saw a groundhog as well as the squirrels, cardinals and a passing by black bear (I have these at home in Lake Tahoe) One of my best places to stay ever. Thank you Yvonne and Tim

Wild Valley Lodge-Log Cabin in Lake Lure, NC, Close to Chimney Rock - Stunning Views, hotel in Chimney Rock

29 miles from Biltmore Estate in Lake Lure, Wild Valley Lodge-Log Cabin in Lake Lure, NC, Close to Chimney Rock - Stunning Views provides accommodations with access to a hot tub.

Good location close to Lake Lure beachfront and the main town. It's not too far from the grocery store. Excellent mountain view. I appreciated the number of seating options, inside and outside, for our large group. The road leading to the property wasn't excessively steep or narrow. The host was very responsive and accommodating.

Excellent, don't know if there's any place better the staff was above and beyond, we stopped to make sure that we were at right place, saying we knew we couldn't check in,and about place for breakfast, they asked what room gave us key and said it would be ready after we ate. It was and we got in around 9:30 am

Great place to visit for a day, we cheated when going up the rock and used the elevator but we walked down and on to the waterfall which was not particularly impressive but a very pleasant walk. The views from the rock are worth the trip but it was not as high as I had expected.

Chimney Rock was the perfect outdoor trip for me to take my husband who has limited mobility. The elevator through the mountain landed at the top of chimney rock where he could enjoy the beautiful views. My grandson and I took the final steps to the very top - and the flag. He and I also hiked to the hickory nut Falls, which was fabulous. I highly recommend taking the time and energy to enjoy that marvel of nature also located in Chimney Rock State Park. There is a cost to visit the park but they discount military, seniors, and families with several children.

Not much to do, the shops don't really have quality products. There is no where to eat that isn't expensive. There is no where to eat on a Sunday morning. We stayed in the hotel the whole trip. Property we stayed at was wonderful but we won't be coming back to the area anytime soon.

We absolutely love Mrs. Yvonne n Tim! Great people.

We absolutely love Mrs. Yvonne n Tim! Great people. This is our second stay in Ashley's Cabin. We had everything we needed, including cook ware, dinner ware. The cabin was clean n smelt really nice. The porch off the cabin is super nice. Very tranquil and the river is absolutely I deed loud. Enjoyed sitting in the nice rockers on the screened in porch. The only problem we had was getting the couch to work with us. But our Grand daughter took her sleeping bag n loved sleeping on the floor. Overall id recommend this place to anyone I know! The privacy was very nice as well. The hotel is very nice, and has a nice swimming spot for kids. They have swings, grills, picnic tables,a really nice place to hangout. Even fishing if that's your thing. I will go back as many times as I can in the future. Thanks Mrs.Yonne, Tim....

Was here as a vendor for the Fall Craft Show so we didn't have time for much pleasure entertainment. Chimney Rock is a neat place to stay for a fall weekend. It is a quaint little village at the base of the mountain. I intend on coming back to visit when I won't be working.
