Beautiful area that has good restaurants, fun stores and a fantastic beach. Also many historical sites. We love visiting the Cape Hatteras lighthouse and “The point” one of our favorite beaches to watch sunrise.

I love the convenience of everything!

I love the convenience of everything! This place is what I call REALLY being at the beach! I have been to many beaches and this is my favorite in NC! I just can’t wait to come back! Definitely check out the Lighthouse with the beach access there. Eat at Fatty’s for breakfast, drinks and apps at Lighthouse Sportsbar, dinner at Diamond Shoals! Shop at Dillon’s Corner-such a lovely store! The dunes and beach is so beautiful! If you don’t like a big crowd or a bunch of frills you will love it there!

The Inn was very close to beach access & the Hatteras Lighthouse. Could see the lighthouse from the Inn. Restaurants close by Inn. Good selection of food & shopping. Loved the small-town feel.

nice small town atmosphere, great for families with small children, not a party town, not many restaurant choices and they got pretty crowded, the coffee shops were excellent!! Of course there was a Dollar General. Bring your groceries as the only grocery store was way overpriced. Nearby towns to venture out to shop and eat

Buxton is ideal for families an anyone wanting a relatively quiet, laidback beach holiday with a funky vibe. Everything you need is there like restaurants, groceries, beach gear and souvenirs. There is plenty to do, beach wise, but you might be hard pressed to find a party atmosphere and/or nightlife.

I’ve chosen this hotel because of its view and location, and I promise you it wont disappoint you. The location is just wonderful. The building is very nice and well distributed, fitting perfectly into the landscape. The rooms are very nicely decorated, with a contemporary beach vibe. The bathroom could use sone renovation, but all in all it was good. We had dinner and breakfast at the restaurant and boh were amazing. Best breakfast I’ve had in the USA during my 14 days road-trip.

The couple running the place were so accommodating. They were genuinely caring and so helpful and nice. They were there for our every need. I can't say enough about the customer service we received. The hotel had ample room for our family of 5. It's hard to find nice hotels that fit larger families. The hotel location is perfect. It has a nice pool and hot tub as well as direct access to a private beach with breathtaking views.

Outside shower was a nice touch for rinsing off sand. Ice maker in freezer was convenient. Location is good in Buxton. Two balconies, private balcony for the master bedroom, both were nice features. There's a very nice & quiet beach about 5 minutes away with a lighthouse. The resident neighbors were quiet & kept to themselves.

This was the cleanest pet friendly place we have stayed outside of 4 star hotels. The owner is wonderful and has really thought of everything! We loved having access to the outdoor grills and even a porch to watch the rain! Hands down my favorite motel we have stayed at yet!

The beds are amazing! We loved the layout of the room and the extra touches (like the ceiling) that made it quaint and cozy and not like a basic hotel room! The location is fantastic! We loved being so close to the ocean and being able to see the lighthouse glow at night!

The location was awesome! I loved the sink that was in the main area with the coffee maker, refrigerator, and microwave. Only 4 rooms on our floor and by the time we left we knew most of the other vacationers. Felt more like an apartment than a hotel room.

It was in a great location. A very short drive to the beach, and you could use the motels saltwater pool even though we were in a cottage off site. The Outer Banks is just a beautiful place and the Outer Banks Motel was as well.
