We loved our 2-night stay at Swiss Mountain Village. We've been traveling across America for two months, mostly staying in hotels or RV parks, and this cabin/lodge made such a nice change. The two bedroom lodge had separate bedrooms and the kitchen was really well equipped. Sitting by the gas fire was very cozy. Fishing for trout in the pond was a bonus!
We were in unit 42, one of the top units, so sound from neighbours wasn't a problem.

What an absolutely lovely place! From the moment we arrived we felt completely relaxed and at home. The instructions on how to reach and access the property were perfect and our hosts were really helpful when we had a few questions ahead of our visit.
The cabin itself was terrific, lovely and clean with super comfy beds. We loved sitting out on the porch of an evening - or relaxing in the hot tub - watching the birds, chipmunks and squirrels. We even saw a deer in the creek one afternoon. It was a totally relaxed and chill place to be, but within easy access of the Blue Ridge Parkway and other attractions. If we're ever out this way again, we will definitely stay here.

Beautiful, quiet mountain town. It's a great place to get away and relax and enjoy some beautiful scenery. The quaint downtown is just minutes down the road and has lots of shops and restaurants. Grandfather Mountain is about 30 minutes away and is a must see if you have time.

Very quaint small town with a relaxing, comfortable country vibe. Very peaceful, great restaurants and shopping on Main street and nearby. Only a few miles from Boone - which is a larger town for shopping and restaurants. A nice area to visit - especially during the fall.

Blowing Rock is a beautiful place.
Blowing Rock is a beautiful place. Close to Boone and Grandfather Mountain. We were just there for a wedding and had no time to see the sights. The downtown area was lovely with lots of great shops and restaurants.
It was very windy and turned chilly during the night, so bring a warm jacket no matter the season.

It was a wonderful stay.
It was a wonderful stay. The village looks very nice and cozy. All cabins are around the lake (pond). You can go fishing there. They have a fishing poles to borrow! Or you can go to a picnic area and use a charcoal grill to make dinner or bring pizza from a local pizzeria and eat it outside or inside - whatever you prefer. You can cook dinner in the cabin. All cabins are well equipped: coffee maker, toaster, stove top, oven, full-size refrigerator. And they have a cook book in a cabin :)
They have a club house with a ping-pong table and a pool-table.
My favorite thing is to seat near the fireplace with a glass of wine.
Or seat in the rocking chair in the morning on the private porch.
We will definitely come back to the village.
We had a lovely stay at the Upscale Rustic retreat. We really enjoyed the peacefulness of the barn and the stream. And the proximity to hiking trails and Bass Lake. The location was awesome, so easy to go into Blowing Rock or Boone. Emily as a hostess was always available. She replied by texts to any questions we had , and texted us mid week to make sure all was well and we didn’t need anything. We had a wonderful time! We will be back!

The resort was beautiful with flowers blooming everywhere....The food at the resort was a 10.. EVERYONE who worked at that resort was kind and very competent...The best place to stay in Blowing Rock...It exceeded our expectations. Even though we did not use the spa the staff was kind and generous even giving us some free samples to take home. Aisha, the bartender was exceptionally awesome...Kind with a great personality....
We loved our stay. They thought of all the details, including little snacks, wine glasses and bottle opener. We loved how the throw blanket was draped over the chair. A lot of care was put into preparing our room. We loved how close the property is to Blowing Rock shopping and restaurants. The Famous Toastery across the street was a perfect spot for breakfast. We look forward to coming again.
Nicely remodeled older motel. Comfortable bed & pillows. Super friendly and helpful staff. Excellent location for walking to all around downtown Blowing Rock. Suggestion info for surrounding food, drinks, shopping, and activities very helpful. Gazebo w/ rockers and firepit w/ Adirondack chairs. A/C good for hot summer temps. Bathtub was so welcome after all day driving & hiking!
Amazing location (a quick walk to downtown Blowing Rock), rooms were clean and comfortable. The gardens and outdoor spaces were so relaxing and comfortable - lets you enjoy the beautiful scenery. The staff were very friendly and attentive. A great place to stay if you are visiting Blowing Rock.
Historical center of Blowing Rock. Quiet surroundings. Cozy and clean room. Friendly and very responsive receptionist Chris, who promptly satisfied our needs. Everything was excellent. Highly recommend!
Great location for visit to Blowing Rock.. Breakfast was fantastic. Hope Blowing Rock can keep its personality and not leave his heritage behind, as other cities and towns have for the big bucks.
the connivence of the property is the best! it’s maybe a half a mile from downtown blowing rock.
perfect for animals.
they have rocking chairs to enjoy the fresh air right outside your door.
The location was perfect. About halfway between Boone and Blowing Rock. It was a spacious, yet cozy apartment. The view off the back porch is stunning.
