The hotel was located conventiently near both the train and the ferry terminal. When attempting to check in before 15:00 the desk clerk was extremely rude, interrupting and admonishing me for arriving early before I could even introduce myself. We ended up having to wait until 50 minutes after official check-in time to have access to our room. We booked the Presidential Suite and were very disappointed with it. It was old and dated, with dirty carpet, dusty surfaces and missing both the bathrobes and slippers that were listed as provided amenities. Also, it is very annoying to have a mini-bar but no prices.
There was no telephone in the room so the only way to contact the staff was by going to the front desk and waiting in line. The property is very dated and in serious need of a renovation. In addition, the staff could use a refresher course in customer courtesy.

My trip to Kristiansand was primarily to visit my son . The city is very nice during the summer and believe that there are more activities, but not much to do during the winter , not unless it’s for shopping 🛍

Nearby water park and zoo (Dreypark) was fantastic, we spent the whole day there. Ferry ride from Lillesand to Kristiansand on the M/B Oya was spectacular, highly recommended to see the coast and small villages nestled among the islands. Book ahead to make sure you get on. We took the ferry one way and then took the city bus back to pick up the cars in Lillesand. Many restaurants to choose from in the downtown area.

Norway is stunning and beautiful.
Norway is stunning and beautiful. Kristiansand is the jumping off point after arriving on the Ferry from Hirtshals, Denmark. The drive along the southern coast is absolutely amazing. I would love to go back.
great glutenfree breakfast options! First time on our Norway trip you didn‘t feel disappointed or „just eating for survival“ being unable for medical reasons to eat gluten.
Staff was very helpful at breakfast to walk you through allergene issues, but some newer staff members need to be informed that you cannot take the same knife to cut glutenfree bread than normal bread (no harm was done as I know that myself, but to avoid medical emergencies, the topic of cross-contaminations should be addressed with the breakfast service staff.
Great apartment! Amazing accommodation for a really good price.
All 45m2 flat with fully equipped kitchen, bathroom and living room. Everything the dishes, hob, kettle, washing machine.
Everything clean and tidy, sofa and LED TV in living room, comfortable bed in bedroom.
House close to the sea, free parking place, PIN key access, very nice and pleasant owner, good communication.
10min to Kristiansand ferry.
I loved the location, right in downtown Kristiansand, surrounded by restaurants, supermarkets with easy access to busses and trains. I would recommend it for short and longer stays.
It's a new hotel, everything was brand new, so I don't really have any complaints. The shared areas were clean throughout my stay.
The cabin is very well equipped and was very clean. Everything we needed was there. Communication with Kenneth was very friendly and umcomplicated. We liked it and would definately come back. We had a car. So it was no problem to come to Kristiansand and the zoo.
Great location. Super close to the zoo and water park. Close to Abra havn which is some kind of pirate village/hotel, playground for kids. Nice to have a walk after dinner or a morning run. Good food in the restaurant. We had breakfast and dinner both days there.
Perfect hotel for an overnight stay between ferry from Denmark and inland Norway. Comfortable soft beds, good bathroom, the best breakfast I've ever seen. Late checkout, parking closeby, 24h reception.
Probably the most extensive breakfast buffet we had in Norway. Very good room albeit a little small but it was a single room. Excellent ensuite bathroom with ample toiletries.
The view is splendid. Location is close to the harbour area and close to city center. Bed was comfortable, room decor stylish, and the bathroom kit was really nice!
Very spacious, clean and comfortable apartment. Easy contactless check-in, we arrived late in the night. Ample free parking. Nice beach front view with terrace.
