When we arrived we were greeted by a dog bed, bowl and...
When we arrived we were greeted by a dog bed, bowl and biscuits in our room when was a lovely addition for our dog. The room was clean and very comfortable with tasteful decoration. The staff extremely friendly and helpful and breakfast delicious. We didn't have time to try the pool but it looked very inviting. There was even an electric car charger in the car park so overall a brilliant stay. Great location as just a few minutes from the port but If you struggle walking it is quite steep but there is car access. The port is very picturesque with many good restaurants, views are stunning. Portofino is an hours walk for those that like hiking but is also served by a bus and ferry.CarolUnited Kingdom - 10Scored 10

We enjoyed Santa Margherita Ligure very much. It was a delightful town by the beach. There are lots of different places to eat. There is an absolutely delightful walk to Portofino along the coast. In the other direction there is also a lovely walk to Rapallo.

This city is a must visit.
This city is a must visit. The city itself has plenty to offer, from shops to an array of great seafood restaurants. Awesome waterfront and the perfect connection, in whichever way suits you, on foot, by bus or ferry, to Portofino...and we did try all three.

Views fantastic. Choice of restaurants and bars good.food expensive. Weather iffy at times but didn't spoil our enjoyment. Coffee amazing. Food delicious. Transport to portofino awkward if ferry not running.

I would have rather stayed in Santa Margarita than in Cinque Terra. CT was nice but SM was larger, the feel was more holiday Mediterranean style, more restaurants, shops... a great base to stay and then take the train or ferries down to CTJustinAustralia

The entire hotel has a great vibe with all the beautiful objects that were picked one by one (we had an old black and white non-functioning tv with a beautiful cabinet on the floor as a bedside table in our room). The bathroom was small but incredibly well organized with the best open shower. Breakfast was delicious with a great attention to detail from the incredibly nice staff. We loved the rooftop pool.

He held our luggage for us and arranged for a taxi as we waited in the breakfast room he had opened for us. It’s a short walk from the beach and many restaurants and stores.
