They say " muskuraiye, aap Lucknow me hai" meaning "smile, you are in Lucknow". The people we met on road, on transports and at places of importance were very good. The market areas are very congested, particularly because of lots of three-wheelers. Our trip was cut short because of the very unhealthy hotel stay. Anyway, people should visit the historic city.

Lucknow is an old time city.
Lucknow is an old time city. While the malls are what impress aspirational Indians, many also love its history. It has an old part, which houses the old Lucknowi buildings of the nawabs and the British. The Bara Imambara is amazing. Watching a live kathak dance is a treat and visiting the Rumi Darwaza and Gomti river front are all top things to do. Another good thing is to go to Aminabad and go into its markets and alleyways to get a sense of Lucknow under the nawabs. Lucknow has its own etiquettes, dance and music and Lucknowi food is known so do some research and don’t be put off by the noise, chaos and dust.

Me and my ailing aged wifecwere put to great problem and suffering treated inhuman. Turned out despite having confirmed accomodation and my despite having paid 50 %in advance.
It was a great shame. And the difficulty in finding accomodation else where coupled my problem. I am senior citizen and my wife needed comfort. But was not allowed to stay for no fault of mine.

Hotel Stay was horrible nightmare for us and morning breakfast was like a punishment. It’s not a hotel, it’s a rented service apartment which has several offices adjoins to it. Even C category hotels are better. In the morning breakfast They offered us plain boil potato with high salt paratha, burned toast, burned plain boiled potato sandwich… nothing else is available to them. They provide used towels which has bad smell for use.
I visited Lucknow to tour some historical locations alone so only required a hotel that was relatively cheap, clean, had good a/c and safe. Using the Booking.com ratings, decided on the Casa Aishbagh. No real disappointed as it did as advertised.
Very friendly staff as well as a decent bar ensured the hotel and my stay was ideal. Not really within any walking distance of anything of note, however taxis, especially Uber, are very easy to use and cheap.
Certainly if I was to return to Lucknow, this would be my hotel of choice.
Breakfast at best was BLAND! All south Indian dishes were too sour and the ONLY real breakfast you could have was bread and butter. There wasn't much too choose from. On Day 2 I figured out that there was sagar ratna and bar joints a stone throw away from the hotel.
Lift #1 would fall any day - take my word. I informed the front desk and they were like, don't worry this shit will fail but not FALL.
Hotel location is good. Its opposite to the high court and audit house.
Not expected this from Marriott.
"Beautiful stay!
Hotel Armeria is a perfect place to stay in Lucknow. It is close to the center and the railway station. The room was very pleasant, it was cozy and clean. The hotel team has always been friendly, patient and helpful. That impressed me the most. No matter what time of day or night, you could turn to them with all your concerns. On my next stays, I will definitely check into Hotel Armeria again. The price performance ratio is very good."
If any one wants to stay near the Lucknow airport, it's a good option. Very small place, no lift. We checked late at night so only one boy was at the reception. The poor boy carried our luggage to the first floor. Food facilities were not good after 10 pm or early morning no food available. Just for Airport transfer we stayed in the hotel but it's a small building with few rooms.
I booked the room the same day arriving on a train from Varanasi and was happy with my choice. It's close to the main railway stations (but not too close), I walked here in 25 minutes.
Ahmed on the front desk is a warm and helpful man.
The room was big and comfortable.
If I come to Lucknow again, I would happily stay at Hotel Dileep.
It is a wonderful stay in this awesome hotel at lucknow . specially mention the name Shitaleshwar Tripathi who was continuously connected with us and providing special feeling with the staff for special services.
Thank you will meet again.
Absolutely brilliant hotel. Clean, comfortable. Such a good shower - best we’ve had in India. The location was great for us as near the station, but not super near the major sites so just something to bear in mind. Very safe.
Such a amazing experience . we stayed for 5 days . HOTEL STAFF was very corporative . Cleanliness was up to the mark . Perfect ambience for vacations in Lucknow . Would definitely revisit this place
nothing first of all i booked a property in gomti nagar but when i reached the property they said that your booking has been done near airport hotel and they took extra charges for the room also
One of the best hotel in lucknow. Staff is too friendly feel like home away from home. Great breakfast to many options. Special thanks to Mr. Diwakar for making it special every time.
Excellent boutique hotel in a quieter part of Lucknow yet about 15 mins to Hazratganj. Beautifully decorated in period style. Amazing breakfast. Kind and attentive staff.
