Outstanding hotel. We last went maybe 10 years ago and wanted to come back ever since. Finally this year we got the opportunity to, and it is every bit as good as we remember.
The staff are great, spa facilities are some of the best in the world and in perfect condition. Great food and drink and the prices are very reasonable for what you get. We hope to visit again.
Location is also perfect for visiting Tokaj and Boldogko castle.

Tarcal is only a small city.
Tarcal is only a small city. I went there to use it as a starting location for my "discovery" of Tokaj wines. So I also went to Tokaj. It's not far. There is a strict police control and the limit is 00.00%. Take a cab. Only 300 HUF (less then € 1,00) per kilometer. The more passengers the cheaper it is.
The hotel has a great location approximatelly 5 km from Tokaj. Parking was possible at the hotel (two parking lots are available inside). The room was large and well equipped. We arrived with a 9 months old baby and the room was completely prepared (baby bed, baby bath tub). The breakfast and the dinner was included. The food (4 courses for dinner, buffet service breakfast with additional "a la carte" foods) and the service were excellent. Unfortunatelly, at the time we stayed there the wellness part was closed for refurbishment.
Well, it is a spa hotel in wine country so what is not to like? Tarcal is one stop up the line from Tokay and is a bit of a one-horse town. The hotel has a nice pool and some water features, plus a sun trap terrace that was quite hot in May so I imagine might become a tandoori oven in high summer. The wine list is an homage to the local furmint grape variety but struck me as expensive. Unexpectedly there were several very good beers from a craft brewery in Tokay called Baz Beer.
It was a magical stay at this quiet hotel castle. We really enjoyed the pool and the scenery around it. Also a place great if you want to have a tasting session from the local sweet and dry white wines. You can serve quite a delicious dinner, probably the best dinner around Tokaj. Really like that you can serve breakfast outside on the terrace in the morning and enjoy a bottle of wine in the evening. Do come prepared with mosquito repellent though :)

Tarcal is a place just 10 minutes by car from Tokaj that is the heart of the Tokaj region which is important to everyone travelling there to taste the local wine. Tarcal Apartman host was waiting for us to hand us the keys, she didn't speak any English but that wasn't a problem at all. The apartment itself is really big one and consists of a large kitchen, bathroom and really big bedroom - all brand new, shortly after renovation.
We had a great time in Andrassy Kúria and would love to come back after the renovation is finished. Despite some minor inconveniences, this is one of the nicest hotels in the countryside in Hungary. It has a great spa, good food, spacious and nicely decorated rooms and attentive staff. The management was nice and accommodating when we had to rebook our stay last minute due to illness.
everything was amazing. we came here last year to celebrate my mothers birthday and returned again this year because we enjoyed it so much. The hotel is beautiful, nicely furnished and very clean. the staff are all so helpful and friendly. the food is amazing and so is the breakfast! the spa is out of this world.
We like everything about the hotel. We love this property and always look forward to spend at least one night layover enroute Budapest/Vienna. They have a good kitchen and professional chef. Great food! We also love their wines.
Spacious rooms, elegant decor, friendly staff, beautiful scenery with vineyards surrouding the hotel, wine tasting tour with an amazing somalier… everything was enjoyable!
one of the best hotels. very tasty food in the restaurant. wonderful spa. check out at 10 is a little early for me, but this is the only and not significant drawback
