The location was incredible as it was close to the sea, Karavomylos, Sami, and Agia Effimia. The pool and property in general was very well maintained and clean. The staff was very nice and very accommodating to our needs and wants. I put in a special request to have a bottle of wine in the room for my fiancé and I after I proposed and they went above and beyond. The staff put flowers in our room, made a heart out of towels, and were so nice and excited for us. They are all incredible people and we will definitely stay here again, they feel like close friends after our stay. I’d always recommend the Green Bay Hotel to anyone looking to stay on Kephalonia.

Strategic location in the middle of the island - everything is close. Quiet and clean village with a good bakery close to the hotel (with breakfasts and a good coffee). And mainly - Antisamos Beach is just 15 minutes drive from Karavomylos. It's for sure the best beach in Kefalonia, don't look for any other. Sun beds for free, restaurant with a great food and a perfect coffee (+ very friendly staff), white pebbles beach and a lot of places for parking.LucieCzech Republic - 10Scored 10

Karavomylos is a beautiful location by the sea. The thoroughfare has shops and all amenities you would need. The area by the water is just stunning and we cannot recommend it highly enough. Our favourite place to eat is at the Karavomylos Taverna, where Georgios and his staff make you feel very welcome. The food in incredible! We visited 15-24 October and some restaurants and shops were already closed for the season. But those tavernas/restaurants that were open were excellent. No crowds and very little traffic. Quiet traditional small Greek town with very friendly people. Harbour area is pleasant area to stroll in the evening. Antisamos beach is close by and worth a visit. Pebble beach but clear water very quiet at this time of the year, relaxing. Plenty of tavernas and restaurants, mini-markets and ferry terminal to Ithika. Fiscardo is worth a visit if you can stomach the mountain drive - some very high, narrow and winding roads - beautiful views but not for the feint hearted.

Karavomylos is a lovely village situated on the east coast of Kefalonia, close to and within walking distance of the working port town of Sami, with it lovely restaurants and shops. Close by are areas of natural beauty such as Melissani lake, the ancient city of Same and the new addition of Odysseus zoo land. Horse riding and donkey trekking are available also. Being relatively centrally located makes it a good starting point to explore the island, but if you stay local then there are plenty of beaches to choose from.BettinaUnited Kingdom - 8.0Scored 8.0

A nice quiet seaside place with beautiful views of Ithaca. Easy walk along the beach to Sami for good choice of bars and restaurants. The beach nearer to Sami was very good and you can.use the campsite facilities, including bars and a pool. You can also get buses up the coast to lovely beaches and Agia Effimia. Local taverna amd bakery were great!

It’s on the outskirts of Sami and very quiet - just a church, a bakery, a children’s activity playground (for young children) a mini market and a taverna. The road is very close to the water’s edge, so it’s not exactly a pebble beach but you can sit on the bench and watche the sea and admire Ithaca. It’s about a mile walk along the sea path to Sami. We ate at Adonis in Adam I and weren’t impressed - it was okay but a bit generic. Mermaid, however, was lovely - fabulous stifado and burger. The local Taverna at Karavomylos did dry Moussaka one night and perfect Moussaks another night, chicken souvlaki that was moist and beautiful with fab chips, and the best stuffed peppers I’ve ever tasted. The bakery in Karavomylos is good enough to eat dessert in - try the orange pie and chocolate pie and their kadafia and baklava. Incredibly good

Amazing location, walking distance to the beach and Sami harbour. Makis, the hotel owner is the most dedicated and enthusiastic guy I have ever met. He will make sure you have an amazing holiday! You also get to use the Ionian Hotel’s swimming pool and pool bar included in your stay. I would definitely return!
