HIDEOUT Hotel, hotel in Hull

Offering free WiFi, HIDEOUT Hotel is situated in Hull. Kingston upon Hull is 900 metres from the property.

The Hideout Hotel is at the Heart of Hull's Old Town and a perfect place to in the City centre for business meetings, tourism, including Trinity Minster, and Hull's Fish Trail. I was attending a dinner at The Deep and took a lovely short walk across the river which took less than 10 minutes. The Hotel does not have a reception, but access is via a pin pad and arrival instructions, together with emergency contact details were sent to me in good time and easy to understand. I stayed on the 2nd floor which I accessed via the lift in the entrance lobby. It is worth noting that I was able to get to and from my room without using the stairs which would be a great advantage for anyone with mobility problems. My room was compact, and had everything I needed for my one night stay. For anyone staying for longer, there is a fridge and hob, with mugs, glasses and cutlery available as well as washing up liquid and cloths. There are shops, including a supermarket together with pubs and restaurants very close by. The bathroom was nicely fitted out and had a lovely shower with fluffy towels, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The bed was large and comfortable and I had an excellent night's stay.

Hull has a lot going for it.

Hull has a lot going for it. We were there for a show at the refurbished New Theatre, and it is well represented with regard to the Arts and Museums. The Marina area is a big draw normally, but massive, long term road reconstruction on the A63 right along the waterfront and towards the ferry terminal, makes it very difficult to access. The train Station is right opposite Ferensway in the centre of Hull, and is an excellent way to arrive for the foreseeable future!

Hull has changed so much since my last visit and I genuinely adored my trip. The shops, bars, restaurants and sights were top notch. The marina is beautiful, the range of independent places to eat drink and shop is wonderful. The arcade and market all add to a great vibe and I can’t wait to visit again!

Never knew how much there is to do here!

Never knew how much there is to do here! We had a lovely walk into town and popped into a few of the older pubs (highly recommend Minerva, Ye Olde Black Boy and Fretwells). Was much busier than expected on Saturday afternoon! Then visited the museum quarter the next day and loved it. Will be returning to do some of the trails! Locals friendly, especially en route to and at the football ground. Only thing that could have made it better was if Hull had let us have all 3 points!

Marina area & museums excellent. Old town quite tatty & not much to see. Recommend Hull as a base with 1 day to walk around + 1 museum + 1 more for the Deep & another museum. Highly recommend beautiful Beverley for a visit

I used to study there sometime in the last century.

I used to study there sometime in the last century. It is a quirky and interesting city, not beautiful like Edinburgh or Venice but that doesn't mean there isn't a lot of beauty to be found if you take a close look. Hull gets slagged off by people who have never been there, which is very unfair. It has a lot of history and nice architecture. And compared to most other major cities it's cheap as chips (and the chips are very good!) Arrive there via the magnificent Humber Bridge. Visit the Ferens Art Gallery. Take in a show at Hull Truck, The New Theatre or the World Class Don Roy Theatre at the university campus. And enjoy the revitalised harbour and Old Town

Wife is from Hull so we visit quite a bit, it's maybe lost some of it's character and vibes, as other places but still love visiting,.lots of new infrastructure going on, which should make a difference, the Hull people are very friendly as and have been since my first visit 25 years ago

old building with plenty of character, with lots of photos if the park opposite. expected two beds in one room was pleasantly surprised when we got there to find two separate rooms within our room. there was an annoying ticking noise coming from in the wall, sounded like a clock but couldn’t find one anywhere but there was a fan so used that to cover up the noise. great location, very close to a variety of shops, and a stones throw from the city centre. excellent value for money

Clean room; very comfortable bed; powerful shower with plenty of hot water; nice towels for two; very quiet; extras such as tissue box in bathroom, notepad and pen, showed that the hotel wasn't scrimping for the sake of it. Only those with a room key can get above the reception floor in the lift. Breakfast had a good and plentiful spread. Excellent positioning for trains and buses, shopping and eating.

Quiet and peaceful. Restaurants and take away chip shops close by, Tesco at walking distance behind the train station which also is the start of the city centre.

The room was large, clean and well stocked with tea and coffee. Really enjoyed everything about the room, check in and friendliness of the staff. Good beds, great bathroom too – though the sink didn't drain that fast so I had to be careful. Loved the painting done by the local school children! It's overall excellent value and a great hotel!

The hotel was very easy to find great views from our room overlooking the river and Humber bridge ! Staff couldn’t of been any more helpful and accommodating , we were a little far out from all the attractions eg bars restaurants and aquarium if you wanted to take a walk but taxi was only £8 one way to the marina which was fine !

Ease of access to/from city centre. Just off the main Hull to Beverley road, but far enough off to still be quiet. Adjacent to Pearson Park. Friendly & courteous staff. Very good wifi, even at the rear of the hotel (room 16). Desk in room was big enough to spread out my laptop etc & do some work in comfort.
