The host was very welcoming from the moment we got there. She showed us to our rooms and explained about the heating etc. She showed us to the room where we would have breakfast. She gave us some fresh milk so that we could have a cuppa while we used the extra breakfast cabin to relax before bed. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, beautifully cooked and presented. We had a great night's sleep, beds and pillows were comfy.

Vanbrugh House Hotel, hotel in Holton

This elegant boutique hotel is located in the heart of Oxford, surrounded by the historic college buildings. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout.

An older but beautifully kept hotel with loads of charm. Very clean. GREAT location. Lots of plugs and usb ports available. Staff was amazing from checkin to cleaning to checkout. Very willing to hold our luggage for us - both on arrival and the day we left. Supplies in room refreshed every day - including water, tea, cookies and towels. Our room faced the street with a lively student union across from us. It was not a problem. We still left our windows open but ran some white noise on our phones and slept like babies.

Old Parsonage Hotel, hotel in Holton

The Old Parsonage Hotel is a boutique hotel set in a building dating back to 1660.

Just a superb hotel: an extremely comfortable, beautifully-fitted room; a warm and efficient staff; a very satisfying restaurant; very quiet; centrally-located in Oxford. The one drawback is the lack of an elevator (it truly is an old parsonage). One of the most enjoyable stays we’ve experienced in 40 years of travel.

Outside area unkemp, outside tables and chairs dirty and communal rather than each room having a private table and chairs which would have been nice. needs TLC and updating except bathroom, needs dark curtains or dark blinds. Over priced.

We stayed for 1 night and it was so comfortable and our lovely host Helen was very welcoming. The only negative would be that it was a little tricky to find in the dark! B&B signage would be an advantage. Everything was ready for us on our arrival and it was a perfect distance to travel to our son's RAF graduation in Halton.
