I am a male single parent of a special needs girl aged 32yrs who needs 24/7 supervision and care. We booked and stayed at the homestead for 4 days. I never ever saw such a clean, comfortable, new look, well equipped and tranquil lodgings as this ever before. On arrival we were upgraded to a lovely self contained appartment free. We were also offered unsuppassalble cooking/kitchen facilities which afforded us the ability to produce needed healthy food easily. The staff here were totally helpful to us yet obtrusive to us offering great privacy. There was lift access for us within the building and we were given assistance beyond the normal assistance with kindness. Our stay was so enjoyable that my daughter called the homestead her new home and was disappointed when it came to the time for us to leave to go home. We found the homestead to be easy accessable from the motorway and to our planned destinations. We would surely love to come to stay at the homestead again.

The most beautiful of Georgian villages.

The most beautiful of Georgian villages. The castle visit and tour is an absolute must. Lots of good places to eat and shops for almost anything you’d want. A really lovely place to visit. Spotless streets. Beautiful flowers everywhere. Park with a large lake makes a great walk.

A lovely Main Street to have a walk along, with good local shops and helpful staff. We had coffee in “Humble Pie” which was good value for money with an enjoyable atmosphere. We payed a visit to the “Cheshire Cat” gift shop which contained some beautiful gifts and had an extremely helpful owner.

No.33 Coach House is a wonderful and fun place to stay. Lorna has filled it with a vast collection of antiques, so it is like going back in time 80 years. The AGA range in the kitchen provides warmth to the kitchen and works great for drying clothes on the rack above it. And around the corner is the magnificent Hillsborough Castle, which should not be missed. Hillsborough is in a very central location to see many of the sights of Northern Ireland.

Great location near Hillsborough, a spacious room, lots of room for kids to play. There is also a dining area so we could sit down to breakfast together. TV with Netflix and other apps ie iplayer itvx etc. Free Wi-Fi. Lovely big area of grass for kids. Very friendly family, Huw couldn’t do more for us. And not forgetting Teddy the dog with his teddy toy who was just lovely and even came to say goodbye on our departure ☺️

The house was like a little museum. We loved it. The host was great at communicating with us and met us at the house for a helpful induction. Right in the centre of Hillsborough, beside the castle, what a great location. We really enjoyed our stay here and it may well become our go to location when we go back home to Northern Ireland to see family there. We loved this place.

This is the perfect house / nicely renovated with a mix of old & new situated on a hill with great views. Hillsborough is a lovely town about 15 KMs away - possibly Ireland's nicest small town with great buildings, the castle, the fort, the forest & what looked like very nice restaurants & pubs - well worth a day-trip & you could fill a day.

We did a road trip in Ireland and had booked several hotels/B&B's. Several were really good, but if I have to choose 'the best' than this is the one. Friendly hosts, excellent rooms and a very good breakfast. We would definitely stay here again.
