Cooked breakfast was good - tasty and hot, as it should be. Dinner in the bar was excellent, with a nice choice and too quality food. Very friendly and efficient waiting staff. The front door is directly on to the main street, and the back door faces the railway station.

Great base for visiting attractions in the Highlands, quite a lot of place's to visit in the area.
Great area if you area a walker.
Train station just at sidecof the hotel, so not far to walk. Be aware that there are not a lot of places to eat in the area.

We had breakfast at the Old Water Mill, a must! Excellent breakfast and the bread is to die for.
The Atholl Arms was good, service a little slow, but we were in no rush.

A beautiful building with very comfortable bedrooms. Lots of seating options with log fires and squashy sofas. The Bothy Bar caters for all you needs from a snack to a sumptuous meal. The food is outstanding.
It's a beautiful area with lovely walks and the sun has always been shining on my visits, even when it was near freezing.

The bedroom was not as displayed on the booking .com and their own site, and the bed was very uncomfortable as you could feel the springs through the mattress. The bathroom was updated and looks lovely the bedroom was large but in need of up grading the tv was old and small the remote did not work as it was not the remote for the tv so you had change tv station/sound manually. At breakfast the link sausage was hard to cut and the potatoe scone was not cooked.
The evening meal in the Bothy bar was great and the staff were attentive.

This hotel is not a five star hotel and there was no evidence of deep cleaning or indeed any professional cleaning. It is understaffed and there is certainly not the ratio of staff to clients that is required by a 5 star rating. We purchased an expensive bottle of white wine (£65) which was served warm and we had to give instructions about chilling it to the right temperature. This hotel is not only not worthy of its price point but is not professionally managed or overseen. We left a day early because our stay was so compromised by the lack of facilities and the cleanliness issues which we felt presented a real risk to health.
Beautiful property with very friendly staff. We stayed in one of the smaller stable rooms, and while it was a bit cramped with all our bags, the bed was very comfortable. The reception spaces in the main house were lovely and the grounds were really beautiful. We enjoyed the experience of meeting other guests in the reception room for drinks before the delicious dinner at the hotel restaurant. The hotel staff were so welcoming. It was a luxurious experience! We only stayed one night, but I would love to come back and stay for several.
We had a great stay in mid-November. The room was great and the hotel cosy and homely feeling. But what really makes the place is the staff. Friendliest, kindest and most helpful around. Then, when you think they can't do more, they went above and beyond during a prolonged powercut from Storm Arwen. Food was great aswell. Would happily go back. Thanks for making a special occasion for us, that bit more special.
We stayed three nights to attend a wedding at Blair Atholl Castle, and the property was ideally located for the venue and the train station. There is a useful shop moments away, and we enjoyed a pleasant meal at the Atholl Arms where staff were very friendly and food was tasty. The cottage is very clean with decent facilities and comfortable beds.
The bar was picturesque and food was great for our evening meal. Breakfast selection was tasty and eating in the great hall was impressive. The next morning we had to catch the train around noon. This was the day of the Kings coronation, the hotel set up a viewing room with decorations food and special drinks for the guests. Very enjoyable.
Beautiful location by the river, many lovely walks around. The owners left us some very welcoming surprises and kept in touch. A warm, clean, extremely comfortable and very nicely furnished lodge.
Excellent food served in both the golf club and on site restaurants by very friendly staff. Nice coffee served by a toasty open fire in local hotel.
Spacious, clean, comfortable and very well equipped. Easy car parking on the drive. Ducks in the garden. We enjoyed the spooky trains passing. 12 minute drive to Pitlochry. A few minutes walk into Blair Castle. Highly recommended. We never return to the same place but it’s so good that we are talking about booking it again.
Ptarmigan is a beautiful house in a beautiful setting. The room was so spacious and comfortable. The owners are very friendly and they serve up a wonderful breakfast. Blair Atholl village is lovely with a few places for food and drink. Can not fault this place. Go!
Very nice secluded location in scottish countryside. Deluxe King room was really nice with huge bathroom and really nice bath and shower. We didn't have breakfast or dinner at the location so can't comment on that but we had a really nice stay at the hotel.
A great location within Blair Atholl. The chalet was exceptionally clean. It was bright and the outside balcony was an added bonus. The owners were on hand to answer any questions we had during our stay and had a lovely welcome gift for us.
Loved the staff, the bothy bar, the dog-friendly policy, the decor in common areas, the flowers outside (kudos to gardener), and the black pudding at breakfast.
