Radebeul is a lovely town on the Elbe and with easy access to the historic towns of Dresden and Meissen. It is within walking distance of fantastic vineyards and is great to for cyclists with cycle paths along the river. The old centre of Altkotchenbroda has several fantastic eateries and some , such as the Schwartze Seele have a fine whiskey selection !
Breakfast was quite a spread. A+
We stayed twice, on the way to PL and on the way back. The day before I was to return, a bad snowstorm was rolling in, so we phoned the Alte Apotheke and asked if we could move our reservation up by one day to circumvent the bad weather. They said, "sure!" because they had space at their sister hotel, just meters away, and it was a wonderful place. Phenomenal customer service - thank you!
The breakfast was superb and the cellar breakfast room was intriguing. Nice old fashioned pension in very quiet location up in the woods behind Radebuel but still convenient to drive into Dresden. Our room had a small sitting out area. Some nice places to east in Radebeul but not within walking distance. We enjoyed the steam train which passed immediately in front of the hotel.
The hotel is located on the main street of the old town of Altkotschenbroda. It is within walking distance to the main shops, restaurants and cafes of the old town. Although we were expecting a room, we got a whole huge apartment for ourselves, with two bedrooms, a big living room, decent kitchen and nice and modern bathroom.
Very friendly staff. They explained how to get into the hotel after the check in counter is closed. They gave us the key to our room before the official time of the check in, which was very helpful.
The room equipment is quite simple, but everything is clean and works.
The room was very quiet in a very nice park style garden. (Due to the fact, that there very few other guests in the house). Once found, everything is situated very easy. (What's in a name? By any other word, we sleep in the Radisson Hotel Blu Hotel...)
Location and Apartment are brilliant- very kind check in and out. The owner and family are so friendly and helpful. Very quiet place - the right one to relax and within the beautiful Loessnitz - close to some attractions in Radebeul.
The hosts were fantastic and were easy to get in touch with when our train was going to be late. They even did our laundry half way through our trip for €5. Location was fantastic and the beds were all comfortable
Nice hotel a bit outside of Radebeul. Walking distance to restaurants and good breakfast choice in the morning. Plenty of parking space outside the hotel...
