This is a wonderful old historical hotel situated in a wooded are at the foot of a lot of hiking trails. The front desk person was a wonderful man who was incredibly accommodating given our late arrival, making an exception with regard to the late night menu and allowing us to relax from our long trip to go pick up a car in the next town over. The hotel itself is a like a throwback in time. It felt like we were back in the movie “Holiday Inn” with wonderful antique furniture, old photos on the wall, and great music from a time gone by. So much history within these walls yet the hotel room has all the modern conveniences and amenities. The grounds are beautiful and scenic with a lake leading into the hiking hills. A nice outdoor beer garden and lots of places to socialize or just isolate and relax.

You can get a decent room & meal in many hotels but what made this hotel stand out was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff.
We felt so welcome, this was great.
Furthermore, the rooms were spacious, comfortable and perfectly clean.
The hotel has its own parking space and it is just a 5-minute walk to a beautiful park.
And finally, the value for money is great.
I have put this hotel on my personal shortlist.
