The location is perfect. The hotel is historic. The staff were friendly and the room met all our needs. The room was not very big but it had everything: marble bathroom, lovely toiletries, mini refrigerator , coffee maker, safe, etc. . The hotel has two wonderful restaurants with great food.

From the big train station it is very easy to take a day trip to the capital, Bern. It is an hour road and the old town there is really nice. Also try the day trip to Loucerne. There is a travel agency called "Best of Switzerland", the parking lot is really close to the hotel, i would highly recommend the excursion to the Titlis mountain, Alps. I will never forget that in my life. Zurich is very nice, the walk by the river to the start of the lake is great.

Zurich is in some ways the best of big city and the best of...
Zurich is in some ways the best of big city and the best of a small town. If your life revolves around outdoor activities such as hiking, wake boarding, sailing, bicycling, rock climbing, mountain climbing, etc. then it is by far one of the best cities to live in. It's incredibly close to all of these things.
It's also centrally located in Europe, so you can easily visit France, Austria, Germany, or Italy with only a few hours train ride. You will travel a lot.
The city itself is beautiful. It is cleaner and safer than any other big city in the world. A corollary to the cleanliness is that you will spend far more of your life figuring out how to get rid of your trash than anywhere else you will ever live. (I personally was never able to fold my paper-recycling neatly enough to get it picked up. I am not joking.)
The Swiss are incredibly organized. Even the Germans make fun of how organized and un-spontaneous they are. When the government or a bank tells you to expect something within two weeks, it will probably show up in your mailbox within three business days. You will respond to mail faster than you ever have in your life.
The core of the city is only about 400,000 people. It's small. You may find yourself going nuts if you come from a big city, or if you like a bit of mayhem in your life. While there are many different activities to do, they may only happen once a week.

Zurich has so much character.
Zurich has so much character. Unlike other cities around the world, which build so many monuments and attractions, Zurich is “naturally” beautiful!! I spent most of my days traveling to other parts of Switzerland, but while in Zurich I was able to tour the Rhein falls, Lindt chocolate factory, the lake, the shops and much more!

Beautiful city and very peaceful atmosphere.
Beautiful city and very peaceful atmosphere. It was clean and quite a lot of interesting sites. Great mix of both old and new! Very expensive though. An icecream will be 4chan for 1 scoop and 8 or 9 chg for 2 scoops. A burger and fries at McDonald’s is 15-20chf which we thought was ridiculous. We took a couple of really great bus trips. One day to Leichtenstein and another day to Rheinfall, both were amazing!
Great location! It was just a short walk to the hotel from the Zurich HB and google maps took us right to the building. Close to restaurants, Starbucks, and stores. I also liked the contactless check in the hotel offered and could use my phone for entry to the building and my room. The room was very clean and appeared to be recently renovated. Although it's on the smaller side, the room had specific furniture to make the best use of the small space and it was both functional and comfortable.
Hotel Marta's location is excellent. It is in the heart of the old town and it is near the main Zurich train station which makes it extremely convenient to go to/from the airport. There are multiple dining options/restaurants nearby hence food is never a problem. They serve a decent breakfast which commensurate with the price. The staff is friendly and the welcome ice cream upon check in, gives it a special touch. Overall, it is excellent value.
Everything in Switzerland is expensive. This is the cheapest I could find without sacrificing comfort and experience. We've stayed in quite a few Meininger hotels in other European cities, this is by far the best. What we liked about Meininger Zürich versus other Meininger hotesl: check in and out was smooth, parking area has direct access to the hotel, parking spaces are wide (we really liked it because we brought a 7-seater).
Tram / Bus next to hotel… get a 24 hour ticket cost 8.80 each very frequent took you into Zurich town about 15 minutes and bus back to airport also next to hotel
Taxi cost us 37.00 from airport to hotel got the bus back to airport..
Breakfast..croissants cereals sliced hams cheeses juice and boiled egg tea and coffee. Fruit and yoghurts
Room comfortable large wardrobe bed comfortable
Staff really friendly and helpful
This is a good value for money hotel considering that Zurich is a super expensive place to stay. The rooms were in excellent condition, it seemed like they were recently renovated, and they were very clean. The hotel is also in walkable distance from the city center and very close to the train station which makes it a great option if you are having a short visit in Zurich.
Glad to have the help of friendly human staff for both check in and out, as the idea of a contactless hotel a bit off-putting. Bfast and housekeeping staff also pleasant. Fabulous shower and towels. Lots of pillows. Dyson Fan helped with crazy-hot weather, and room had enough space for luggage and movement.
Very close to back end of station near airport trains.
We traveled around Switzerland using trains and the location of the hotel was just perfect. The staff were universally great to interact with and the hotel facilities are just what we needed. In fact, we had to come back to Zurich before we flew home and it was a simple decision to stay at the hotel again. They even organized pre-flight Covid tests for us.
The location was perfect, it was close to the Zurich main train station - just a few minutes walk. We took train from Zurich airport to Zurich HB, which was just 10 minutes ride and then walked to the hotel.
The hotel was also in the city center - near to the old town and beautiful riverside.
The room was very clean and the staff was very nice.
The room is clean. Hotel staff is friendly and helpful. Housekeeping is well done too. Really enjoyed the stay at H+ Zurich. While the hotel is a distance away from the city centre, but in return, the surroundings are quiet.. There is a supermarket nearby, massage place and it is also a quick ride to and from the airport. Rather convenient!
We always stay at this hotel when in Zürich. If you are traveling by train in Switzerland this is the closest hotel to the train station. A 3 minute walk to the stations. Management is fantastic. The facility is immaculate and beds are very comfortable. Quiet area at night. Break fast are a great value and even has hot scambled eggs.
We traveled for two weeks throughout Europe and had such a memorable stay in Zurich because of the Small Luxury Hotel Ambassador Zurich! Beautiful accommodations, clean, attentive and friendly staff, delicious food and drinks and even conditioner and wash clothes in the bathroom!
Comfortable room near train station Oerlikon, only a 5-min train ride away from Zürich airport. Good connections to everywhere in Zürich via train, tram, bus. Very friendly staff. Practically organized and clean room with a comfy bed.
This is a truly great hotel. Best location in the old town. Convenient to the trams and railway station. And for those wanting to exercise, they have arranged access to the best gyms in Zurich (albeit a walk).
Location is perfect , you can walk around the city center, old town , you do not need the train , hotel is in the middle of everyting. Close to the main train station , easy to reach the airport.
The location was perfect! Right in the Old Town of Zurich, Switzerland and it was in the middle of the city center. An area with great food and really close to shopping centers on the same strip.
Proximity to downtown Zurich was nice. I could see how the hotel could be a more affordable option for someone that is into partying and drinking. Wasn't good for for my wife and I.
Friendly staff, great location, easy access to thermal bath & spa. Maybe the best hotel in Zurich, for families with children to relax. Definitely thinking to re-visit..
This is a simple, but very good hotel in the best possible location. Perfectly clean, quiet, extremely central. All in all, a very good solution in Zurich.
First time on Zurich me and my wife, glad we choose Ruby as our hotel. Best location, staff, rooms, the shower is amazing, everything was great and clean!
