The motel was clean and had 24/24 access. So nobody at reception your entry code is provided by text. It had a kettle, coffee, milk, microwave and a toaster and full size fridge. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Close to McDonalds if that is what you like.

The location is fantastic. Just a quick walk to the center of town and a shopping center and supermarket is 3 minutes walk away. The staff were super friendly and helpful and I really appreciated that I was able to check in early with no penalty. I was given a separate pool towel which was much appreciated. Also, I didn't hear anything at night, considering it's so close to town.

Now with the by pass you have to plan your trip- you don't just drive by anymore. Clarence River Council have spent a little bit of money, god love 'em as it is not usual, to beautify the place. It has little and old wooden heritage buildings, gosh soo lovely, filled with all sorts of curious things. Get off the new track, choose "the roads less travelled" , coz that makes all the difference.

Ulmarra is a beautiful little town on the banks of the Clarence River that is tranquil with stunning sunsets on the river.
The Water Dragon lizards that come to visit you in the garden of the pub are so cute and scurrying around on the grass. They'll even stay still long enough for you to take a photo.

This glorious historical establishment was a delight….all that it promised and more…
The fresh local fish and salad was the best we three elderly sisters had ever enjoyed and that’s saying something as one of my sisters had, with her husband in the 80’s, run a fishing trawler from Iluka.
The position on the glorious river was exceptional.

Mouth-watering pub meal across the road.
Mouth-watering pub meal across the road.
Majestic Clarence River outside. Car ferry to cross river & meet friends at Lawrence Tavern.
A great coffee-cart serving Ulmarra locals & visitors at sunrise with food and friendly advice about ‘what’s on’.
So much within walking distance!
We wished only for more time to spend in Ulmarra.

Lovely location on the river.
Lovely location on the river. Small thriving town with a busy pub which had great dining options, which were a tad expensive but a good plateful & well cooked using fresh foods. Although off the main highway, & a small town with only 1 servo, it had the cheapest petrol for miles around according to my fuel app.

Great place to relax and enjoy the beautiful water views.
Great place to relax and enjoy the beautiful water views. The town is small and lots of little shops to visit. The hotel itself is super clean and the food fantastic. Staff were super friendly and I would stay there again but for two days instead of one.
We don't usually book places without private bathroom but thought we would try this lovely old hotel in the historic village of Ulmarra. The bathroom facilities were modern and in excellent condition. Easy to get to in the middle of the night. The room was very clean, the bed comfortable and fitted with good quality bed linen. There was a fridge, electric jug and a bottle of water supplied, as well as cereal, fruit and yoghurt for a light breakfast. We had dinner in the excellent restaurant downstairs.
This is a fantastic B and B. As it was a week day, we had the whole wonderfully renovated house to ourselves. It was warm, well located by the clarence river and across the road from the well known Ulmurra hotel. Living area was spacious and comfortable as was the dining area. Practically everything had been thought of in the kitchen, and food for our choice of breakfast was supplied. Eggs, cereals, milks, and more. A beautifully restored heritage building.
Everything went well and it was very good value for money. After arriving we had a very good dinner downstairs. There was a bar fridge with milk and yoghurt as well as cereal, tea, and coffee for breakfast- simple but just what we needed.I did bring my own gluten-free cereal. The hotel/pub is beautifully located being right on the Clarence River and the little town as some lovely older buildings.
This property is superb. I was travelling with my granddaughter from Canada & we loved it. Location is great right on the river across the road from the historic Ulmara hotel. The quaintest town so happy to have found this place. A hidden gem. Kitchen so well equipped & so lovely to meet the other guests & share the table with them. Loved it. Hopefully will get back there again one day.
Loved the location, watching the sun go down over the water. We had a walk around Ulmarra before dinner and had a great chat with the owners of the Coldstream Gallery which show a beautiful collection of local artists. We then had dinner at the popular Ulmarra Hotel across the road from our accommodation. The beds were very comfortable and the selection of breakfast was good.
Love Ulmarra Pub. Beautiful old building in a peaceful setting along the Clarence river. Great restaurant with wonderful food & ambience overlooking the river. Add the local water dragons for company..😃
Beautifully restored, fabulous location!
Every whim was catered for by thoughtful hosts.
Walked across road to the Ulmarra Hotel for a super-satisfying dinner.
The food available at the hotel is great and very good value. Room and bathrooms were clean. Basic breakfast in the room was adequate and included in the price.
