Great location, friendly attentive staff, large room, comfortable bed, adjustable heating, plentiful body wash/shampoo/body lotion, $10 voucher towards drinks if you choose the green choice to opt out of a daily tidy service, great selection of breakfast foods, the ambience of lounge rooms and dining room provided with wood fires, access directly from carpark to the room corridors, free laundry facilities.

Had a great time in this cosy little getaway. Close to Cradle Mountain with great views from both the balcony and the living space. The kitchen had everything I needed for a comfortable stay, and the smart TV was great for a night in. Definitely recommend at least 2 nights so you get to fully enjoy what the accommodation has to offer.
Not negatives but just some things to consider:
- I recommend checking in before dark as it might be difficult to navigate the first time.
- Unsealed gravel road to property but handled fine in my 2wd SUV.
- Steep steps up to loft bed with low ceiling.
Overall an amazing stay, and I would definitely return!

Wonderful stay, perfect driving distance from Cradle Mountain and Sheffield. The cabin was spacious and clean with perfect heating facilities, they even supplied two heaters which was great!

It's a very cute and nice cottage, close to the visitor centre. The lady at receptionist is very friendly and helpful. Room is super clean and complete amenities and very nice and warm. With electric blanket on the bed. Highly recommend!

One of the most scenic places we have ever seen. We went back into the park late at night to stargaze. We had never seen the Milky Way look like that. Utterly beguiling, a true “must do”. Dove Lake is just a perfect place to visit. We will definitely be returning.Ford - 10Scored 10
An absolutely stunning national park, with lakes and...
An absolutely stunning national park, with lakes and mountains and lots of fresh air! There is only one road into the park, and once you have passed the visitor centre and various accommodation options, CM can only be accessed via the Park Service's shuttle buses. This has stopped the nightmare of people driving on roads they are not capable of handling, and makes your trip up to Dove Lake far more pleasant, Check the park service's website for ticket options and prices, and also for the range of marked walking trails to suit all capabilities. Check out the photos, and make sure you visit at least once!

If you love walking, hiking or mountains in general Cradle...
If you love walking, hiking or mountains in general Cradle Mountain is a blessing. Walks and circuits for every person, from the easy to the challenging one, from 20 minutes to 10 hours depending on your readiness, fitness, and training. Clean and well-maintained with spectacular views from the top, weather permitting :-). Keep in mind that you are in a mountain environment and the weather can change quickly and completely in a very short time. Good phone coverage on quite the whole area, and if you are into astrophotography its a Bortle 1 sky, cannot get better then that.EnricoAustralia - 10Scored 10
We loved our visit to Cradle Mountain.
We loved our visit to Cradle Mountain. Our first stop was the Devils @ Cradle sanctuary where we had an excellent tour guide who was very knowledgeable about the Tasmanian Devil and the Quolls at the sanctuary. We were able to see 5 Devils being fed. Though they looked cute, they had very sharp teeth and managed to tear through the meat and bones quickly. We then went on a bus trip to Dove Lake and were able to take some great photos. Would love to visit here again.

A wonderful place!

Love the walks at Cradle Mountain.
Love the walks at Cradle Mountain. We went to devils@cradel which was so interesting. Really recommend it but keep your hands out of the devil enclosures! Bring warm clothes - lots of layers is best. We were there end of Feb and it was cold at night and early morning. We had a wild wombat just amble by, eating as it went.

Our room was of good size and the shared kitchen and bathroom s were reached by walking under a covered walkway. The kitchen was very large with plenty of equipment to prepare your own food. Two refrigerators were available for food storage. The gas heater in the kitchen was awesome on cold nights and mornings. The visitor center and shuttle bus to hiking trails was a 6 minute walk from the camp office.
