Silvia, the host was very friedly and helpful in everything during our stay. We used oportunity to eat brakfast and dinner few times which were very delicious for affordable prices. Silivia is so adorable person, she borrowed us map for our trekking routes. In the evening after the treking we had oppotunity to listen to great (italian and international) music, which was played by the hosts. It was great finish of long day in the mountains.

Everything was excellent. Upon request they allow us to use terrace with backyard view. Great breakfast. Good base for trekkings.

The location, food from the garden and overall relaxing vibe were immaculate. The hosts are super welcoming and try to speak everyone’s language. Overall, this felt like pure luxury without being pretentious.

It is a very good place, if you look for an authentic village. It is managed by the local women association, and it is managed well. All is clean and well-kept. Good local food. The village is very quiet. The view is spectacular and the sunsets are idyllic. The village nightlife concentrates around a shop run by Antonio and it is a good place to meet the villagers. Quiet location, 10minute walk into the centre of Port Novo. Fantastic island for hiking. Very friendly people. The owner Marie is a lovely person, nothing was too much trouble and she even helped me sort out my visa which was about to expire.

We enjoyed the location of this place, which is directly on of the most beautiful trails of the valley. The local staff was very open and helpful as well as probably the ones adding the flavour to the food. It was a very quiet environment, chickens wake you up - but not too early.

Our best stay in Santo Antão. Very comfortable beds, amazing rooftop with a nice chill area and well located in a quiet neighbourhood but close to very nice restaurants. The host Guillaume was very helpful giving us many useful information about hiking options including well prepared handouts. The rest of the Casa d'Mar team was also super friendly. We felt at home. Not to forget: they serve an amazing breakfast with the best banana bread ever!

Fantastic hotel in a great location in Ponta do Sol. The rooms are quiet and modern and the room I stayed in had an excellent view. Breakfast was exceptional and they even prepared a breakfast for you and delivered to your room early if you needed to leave for the early ferry. They owners live on site and are very friendly and helpful. If hiking is your goal (the main activity in Ponta do Sol), they have developed excellent hiking guides and materials and can also arrange guided hikes if you are interested.
