Offering garden views, Škerlj Wine Estate is an accommodation located in Tomaj, 17 km from Trieste Train Station and 18 km from Piazza Unità d'Italia. A real gem. We received a wonderful welcome from Mirjana, who greeted us with a glass of her fine Teran and we felt instantly at home. Skerlj is a historic wine estate which goes back six generations to 1788; our room was cosy and full of character with beautiful old furniture. Delicious breakfasts with homemade eggs, local jams and honeys etc. Mirjana gave us some excellent recommendations for dinner both nights. A lovely place to wind down and enjoy the atmosphere with the friendly cats and elderly dog. Thoroughly recommended, we can’t wait to return!

A Homestead Vrbin kertre néző kilátással, ingyenes wifivel és díjmentes magánparkolóval várja a vendégeket Divačában, 4 km-re a Škocjan-barlangoktól. There was breakfast there in the morning. It was very good. Typical Slovenian breakfast. There was also a restaurant there in the evening so if you didn't want to go out you could eat there.

The villa is new and clean, 5-10 minutes walk from the castle. The owners are really nice, we had a wedding at the castle and they drove us there so we didn’t need to worry about the car

I loved how private the property was, with a great view. The parking space was big, the host was nice and responsive, and the pool and jacuzzi were awesome. Plus, the kitchen had everything we needed and a huge TV for entertainment.
