Offering a garden and mountain view, Carpe Diem Kamaida is set in Ochi, 22 km from Hijiri Shrine and 23 km from Odo Dam Museum. Excellent Hidden Property along the Niyodogawa river. Just beside the Aso Submersible Bridge. The quality of the house is so excellent that it is too underrated and the photos don’t do justice. The actual house seems to be so better and witty visiting.

Rosie was incredibly welcoming and had a lot of wonderful advice for local activities. The house was spacious and comfortable. The kitchen was fantastic! The stunning views over the valley and river, the wonderful traditional house, the excellent cooking of the lady of the house (best we’ve eaten in Japan) but most of all the warm and very personable welcome the hosts gave us. This was a stay we will always remember and cherish. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer. Highly recommended!
