The owners clearly care a lot about the place and their guests! The amount of small little details that we loved is too many to mention individually, but everything looked like it was done with intention, from the kitchenware to the bathroom supplies to even the coat hangers. The fireplace was an absolutely amazing little add-on, which one doesn’t often get, and which made it even cozier and homey-er. The kitchen was fully equipped and everything worked great, the beds were comfortable and warm. The place in itself is easy to find with the descriptions, and close enough to the next town to quickly get some essentials if needed, while also far enough away to feel cosy and calm. We had a brief chat with one of the owners when we arrived, who was super nice and told us a little bit about the house and the area in general. Thanks for an amazing stay!

Offrant une vue sur le jardin et la rivière, l'Ásgeirsstaðir Holiday Homes est situé à Ásgeirsstaðir, à 49 km de Hengifoss et à 33 km de Gufufoss. The kitchen was easy to use and well-stocked. Loved the option for using both grill and counter top oven. The clothes line was convenient and appreciated. The place was comfy yet spacious and had an nice option for outside sitting (and even grilling). This was one of of our favorite spots in our two-week tour circling Iceland.

If you are looking for something different this is your place. A really quiet place with no tourists and wonderful views. The way to arrive is an off-road and you need approximately 1h to go across 30km but it is really worth it because the surroundings are really beautiful. Having a 4x4 is not mandatory but I really recommend it to arrive. The cabin was perfect for 2 people and is fully equipped. It also has a hot tube outside that was a must to relax at the end of the day with great views to the fjord.

This was our best stay while exploring Iceland: amazing hosts, quiet and clean rooms, super spacious dining area and kitchen, a separate huge common space with 2 pianos …and a jacuzzi in the evening on the roof between 2 mountains! Socializing and sharing tips about travel with the other guests. Nice breakfast in the morning and Paskahellir site with blueberry fields in late August just around the corner. Totally worth the trip off the ring road!!

A cozy cottage had everything that you need to feel like at home. A hot tub - jacuzzi was very relaxing. The lacation gives you amazing views to the fiord. The owner visited us and it was plesure to have an interesting chart with him about the place. Thank you for your hospitality!

It's a very comfortable and beautiful place. There's all of the amenities we can possibly need. The host was a delight as well, very nice, helpful and comprehensive. Heated floor in the main entrance, café machines and drying and washing machines also available. It was a really a modern house with a comfy outlook. Comfortable beds and big nice dining table. We loved it.

She makes yummy chia and fruit yoghurt! The property has a hot tub in the beautiful outdoors and we had the most relaxing time enjoying it! A must go place if you plan to be in the area!
